  1. My wife had a couple on Oasis the other night. While they weren’t the lobster we’re used to, she said they weren’t bad.
  2. I forget what the cost was, but there is a fee for private karaoke
  3. Enjoy next week!! We’re envious We go back to the cold and snow tomorrow. When we left on the 28th, the parking garage was full so we had to park in a surface lot. I expect my truck to be buried when we get to it.
  4. Independence of the Seas February 3, 2023 Added the 3 night to the existing 4 night to make it a week.
  5. Yes. There is definitely a lot more boat time compared to beach time.
  6. Captain Bob’s in St Maarten is great. It’s a boat tour/snorkeling/beach day. Very easy walk from Crown Bay and they are very aware of getting people back to their ship in time. We did it earlier this week and had an awesome day. There were quite a few repeat customers.
  7. Hard to tell what your point is on some of your threads. I’m not sure if it’s your intention, but some of them sound like you’re looking for people to validate your complaints. Different people like different things. It makes the world go ‘round
  8. We just went out with Captain Bob’s two days ago. We had a great day and will go again the next time we are in St Maarten. There were quite a few people in the group who were repeat customers.
  9. Yea, the testing process was much more stressful for the cruise we’re currently on than the others we’ve done since the restart.
  10. At the cabin level we cruise at, most lines would be the same for us, so we just decided to stick with Royal Caribbean. We were talking about this together today…if we cruised another line, we’d probably end up comparing it with our experiences on Royal anyway. We have always been content on our cruises, so why change what we’ve come to enjoy In addition, the fact that we will hit Diamond in less than a year and be able to have the daily drink vouchers is a decent enough reason for us to continue with Royal
  11. Definitely. Our lunch today was the first time this week we felt “stuffed”
  12. We went there for lunch today. It was awesome.
  13. I wore fancy shorts the first night of this cruise and didn’t feel uncomfortable at all. I bet I looked better to others than the guy with the tattered jeans.
  14. I totally read this title the wrong way at first.
  15. Lol I feel so unrefined. The phrase Food Fraud has never come out of my mouth. All I care about is if what I’m eating tastes good. I grew up spitting birdshot out of my mouth at dinner. Anything I eat on a cruise ship is great to me.
  16. Our 19 year old (at the time) came with me for the second week of a back to back on Adventure in January 2020. There wasn’t a lot for them to do as far as within their own age group, but they had a good time nonetheless. They were pretty much the youngest in all the things they did, but after the first couple nights it didn’t seem to matter. The 18-21 meetup was a bust, but they ended up doing a lot of the onboard activities like trivia and seeing the live music. They were even a team captain at Quest. 18-21 is definitely a tough age to be when you’re not onboard with friends, but it is possible to have a good time.
  17. We’re currently onboard and have the basic Surf package. Each night, we’ve been busy from 7-1030 pm with dinner and shows, but haven’t not noticed any issues before or after. I have sent occasional text/picture messages during that time frame, and my wife had posted things in Facebook with no problems The first day, I did have to turn my phone off/on to get any kind of connection. Also, my vpn can screw up the connection sometimes.
  18. We fell into a black hole yesterday that we knew to avoid…. It’s our first time on an Oasis class ship and when we boarded yesterday we started to plan our whole week and lock down everything onboard that isn’t offered on smaller class ships. We forgot an important rule: Don’t try to do it all in one week. After dinner last night we gave ourselves a reality check and feel much better
  19. Not sure why this ended up in Dining. I meant to post in Shore Excursions. Sorry about that Would a mod mind moving it? Thanks.
  20. If you see it at a price point you can live with, I highly recommend coming here. We cruise as cheap as possible and don’t really do extras at all, but on the advice of some friends, we booked the Beach Club Day Pass when the price was around $80 pp. We have zero regrets. This is our fifth time at CocoCay and first at the Beach Club. The experience is awesome, the food even better As cheap as we are, we’ve decided that we’ll be coming here again Thanks to reading about the experience right here on RCB, we knew enough to get off the ship early and snag a day bed by the pool. A big thank you to those who shared that tidbit.
  21. To be clear, I am not saying to leave your physical card/proof at home, I’m just relaying what we experienced.
  22. Just some info….. We are currently upstairs in the waiting area in Terminal A. We were not asked for our physical cards. When I asked, the agent told me that our cards were verified when we checked in through the app so we were all set
  23. We’ve decided we’re doing the Beach Club tomorrow regardless of temperature. It was a cool -2° post-blizzard at home this morning. We couldn’t face people at home if we canceled because it was going to be only in the 50s there.
  24. This good to hear. We are looking forward to eating there
