  1. Oh….wait….I see you over there.
  2. Check out the role call section to see if your specific cruise is there. If not, create a post for it.
  3. Back in October on Voyager, there was a board in the library with guest led events posted.
  4. This message board is not affiliated with Royal Caribbean, it is a fan site. The rule stating no CBD products allowed is Royal Caribbean's rule, not the rule of this message board.
  5. Non-suite cabins earn one point per night per person
  6. Everyone earns their own points. For example, if my wife and I stay in a suite, we each get 2 points per night.
  7. You can call it whatever you want, however if it looks like a duck and walks like a duck....... If I'm unhappy with a company, I'm not going to take their compensation then warn them that I will be an extremely unhappy customer who could be trouble for everyone when I use their compensation. Meh, this is the internet. You do you.
  8. I'm another one that would like earlier options. Yes, I know we're on vacation, but when your life is structured to wake up early, it's difficult to turn it off for a week. Sometimes we can find coffee at the Cafe, other times we've been out of luck. I don't want a full breakfast, but something to snack on would be nice. We usually put a few pieces of fruit in our cabin frig for this reason.
  9. While not cruisers, my in-laws live in Canada and have a US credit card as well as a US checking account for use over here. They come a lot since all their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren live in the States. They have commented more than once how much simpler have US accounts makes things for them.
  10. The last time we booked at Next Cruise (Feb 2022), the price we paid to close our cabin was the same that was showing online for a GTY. I don’t know if it’s a regular thing or not.
  11. We did the same thing last October to get to the next level. This will be our first cruise as Diamond
  12. Our flight from Boston to Venice now has an eight hour layover in Lisbon instead of one hour. This puts us in Venice at 610 pm, much too late to get to our B&B in time (the latest to arrive is 630 pm). @FionaMGhas given us some great ideas for things to do during our layover in Lisbon. We can cancel the Ravenna B&B reservation with no penalty, but we are going to contact the owner and see if we can stay for two nights instead of three. If we can, we’ll use Marriott Bonvoy points to stay near the airport the first night then take the train to Ravenna. If we can’t change to two nights, we’ll cancel and make other lodging arrangements. I’ve been learning Italian for the past six or so months and hope to be able to talk and understand while we’re there.
  13. We’re bringing some local maple syrup (sealed quart container) with us when we cruise out of Cape Liberty in a couple weeks. It’s a gift for some friends who are meeting us for the day when we stop in Miami. We’re thinking of putting it in our bags we give the porters since we think it’ll be easier to explain to Royal on the ship (if our bag gets flagged) rather than trying to explain to port security.
  14. We used Galveston Express. They brought us from George Bush International to our hotel on Galveston Island and then when our cruise was over brought us from the port to Hobby. They were prompt and professional. If we ever cruise out of Galveston again, we will use them. We took a taxi from our hotel to the port. It was cheap.
  15. I only go there for one single board since we have a future cruise in Europe booked on a different line. Some of the people there are hard to take, but I've been able to ignore them and find the info I want. I've seen some names I recognize, which is neat. I like coming here for the social aspect as well as the information provided. The atmosphere here is really nice and there are people I'd like to meet in person.
  16. We sail on her for the first time in 18 days. It'll be our first time on any Quantum Class ship. Here's a great article specific to Anthem by @JennaRCB. Among many other things, it includes a list of the complementary dining venues. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/anthem-of-the-seas-guide-review
  17. Thank you @FionaMG !!! As of right now, we have time to leave the airport and really want to actually see something other than the inside of it. Thank you for sharing some good places we can easily get to. Sitting in the airport for all that time would be quite a drag.
  18. I used to ski quite a bit until my knees betrayed me. I lived close to a few ski mountains, so it was easy enough to go. Smaller mountains/resorts had lower lift ticket prices, and I'm assuming it's the same nowadays. You can rent equipment rather than spend lots of money to outfit a family. It's cheaper to do this if you're only going one or two times a year.
  19. Very subjective question. We're cheap thrifty, so there's no way we would spend $2000 more for one more night regardless of itinerary. Granted, your cabin needs dictate cost. We are fine with insides and a balcony is a treat to us. We recently booked an 8N southern Caribbean in March '25 for $1600 in an aft balcony, and our upcoming 8N on Anthem was only $1184 for an Inside w/virtual.......so you can see why I say no way to an extra night for $2000
