  1. I have a 1:48 flight out of Orlando. I'm thinking this should work.
  2. Thanks. I hope y’all have a fabulous trip!!! We did a Disney cruise years ago and it really turned us against cruising until we tried Royal Caribbean last fall.
  3. Please let us know how boarding goes tomorrow. Enquiring minds want to know.
  4. I am sure you and your girls will have an awesome trip. I am looking forward to hearing all about it.
  5. Thank you so much! We are both flying in the day before and already planning to arrive at the port together! I can't express how much i appreciate all of the help and advice i have found here!
  6. I am traveling with a friend from across the country. Can we check in separately at our own convenience and print our own individual sea passes and luggage tags?
  7. Absolutely! Sharla from MEI has rebooked for several times and never been anything less than kind and gracious about doing so
  8. Now that our plans have changed, (see Lemons to Lemonade for explanation) we need to figure out a new plan. Luckily, we had not booked airfare for the cruise to Cuba. So we are now flying into Orlando the day before our cruise and need to get to Port Canaveral. We also need a hotel for the night before. Can anyone help with recommendations for the best way to get from the airport to Canaveral and a good place to stay in that area? Many thanks.
  9. I agree that it sounds too good to be true! I was truly shocked, but glad we able to book it. The price for the grand suite is now showing $1000 pp more than we booked it yesterday afternoon. My best guess is that there was some type of computer glitch that happened to work in our favor this time.
  10. Fingers crossed that you will get a suite. I feel sure there will be some available.
  11. I am not sure where our August cruise will be re-routed to but I am traveling with a friend and we decided that we would rather be a ship with more to do since we can't go to Cuba. Knowing that my travel agent would be busy and that our vacation dates are locked in, I started looking for options. I could not believe that I found a grand suite on Harmony for our dates that was actually less than an inside cabin on that cruise and was only a few hundred more per person than our Majesty sailing. So for around $300 each, we are now cruising in a grand suite on a seven day cruise instead of a 5 day cruise in a junior suite. I'd still rather be heading to Cuba, but being a southern girl, I squeezed the lemons and added some simple syrup. I am sure we will have a great time. The itinerary is not perfect, but it does stop at Coco Cay. By the way, Sharla from MEI is our agent and she has been fabulous to work with. I was afraid the deal I found was a glitch in the system and asked her to book it fast, and she grabbed it for us!
  12. When we did a cruise to Nassau years ago, we walked from the ship to the Queen's staircase. Still one of my favorite family pictures. Since you have mentioned that you are active, you may enjoy the walk.
  13. My preference would be to get my cruise fare applied to a different sailing. Any chance of that happening?
  14. I'm right on the cusp-booked for August 14-70 days out. I am holding off on air fare for now.
  15. Not an announcement, but interesting nonetheless: https://www.thestreet.com/investing/stocks/royal-caribbean-stalls-after-trump-bans-trips-to-cuba-14981001
  16. I did not fully read the entire regulation, but it appears that every trip booked by midnight tonight will be grandfathered in.
  17. What dates are you going? We may be on the same cruise. Western Caribbean on Oasis March 1.
  18. You should all be seated together since the travel agent grouped your reservations. If you get the reservation numbers for your additional family members, you should be able to add them to your dining reservations. If not, go to the main dining room after boarding and add them at that time.
  19. Is the Coastal Kitchen open for lunch on embarkation day?
  20. Thank you for the wonderful blog. Our entire family did a multi-generational cruise to Alaska in 2011. It was a fabulous experience. Our itinerary included Glacier Bay which was breathtaking. The entire trip was like floating inside a post card. My husband finally joked that he was getting tired of all of the beautiful scenery because he was always afraid he'd miss something. Your blog brought back wonderful memories!!
  21. I see references to the breakfast menu, but does anyone have one to share?
  22. For me it is a legitimate fear. I once tried to check into a hotel, only to discover that i had booked the room for the following week. Luckily, they had plenty of availability. Thanks for all of the advice and kind thoughts.
