  1. I thought the movie was good for its time; however, totally agree with Harmony otS potential cancelation of that show...it's not good & really relying on the namesake of the show. Yet still...if Grease goes, Cats on Oasis otS should go.
  2. Buy the lowest quality of hot dog...and there you go. Besides...I have been an advocate of expanding their offerings to cheese dogs, Chilli dogs, fried dogs, corn dogs & pig in a blanket(last two just screams Atlantic City Boardwalk) etc.
  3. Playmakers needs to be in the Via area, where Jaime's & Vintages are currently located. I would put an El Loco Fresh in the SeaPlex area as well as move the Arcade up there as well. Get rid of the Bionic Bsr and replace it with the Pesky Parrot. Turn Wonderland into Giovanni.
  4. I wish it would be cascading pools like on the Quantum Class
  5. I serious doubt Royal would consider Hero ot Seas.... I suspect it could be Heroine ot Seas; and yet, fit well imo, with whomever the Godmother commissioned to be. Personally, I think Celebrity ot Seas and maybe Portrait ot Seas fits sufficiently.
  6. I agree & love the intimate setting of the Attic; however, I sorta understand the conundrum. Utopia sales...the demographics appears to be heavily college to mid 40's. We love to laugh & be entertained. Royal may have a huge overflow of passengers trying to get in (reserve seat) into such a small venue, limited capacity, on a very short cruise...never having the opportunity, to see a good show. Comedians only do so many shows per sailing. So, the need for a much large venue, to placate the passengers attending the shows, is needed. Pack'em into the Royal Theater.
  7. Slightly off subject; but one of my wish list would be a general Oasis Style Pool; and, an Adult Pool & area, at Labadee, much like CoCoCay.
  8. I said before during his 1st administration; but, I wish Trump would grant an exemption to the cruise industry, with some restrictions....like for an example: allow cruiseline one ship, within a certain capacity, to cruise the Hawaiian Isles on a limited schedule, if not with American steel. Whether that means a set limited number of sailing annually, by each company, on a staggered, rotated, seasonal basis, amongst the cruise lines. Gotta have some reasonable concessions between the Government & Cruise Industry.
  9. Royal should not only consider a permanent port of call out of New Orleans with a Voyager Class ship; but also, consider seasonal sailing out of Mobile, AL. with one of their Radiance Class ships, like BotS. Especially, whenever PDMex opens.
  10. I hear ya...why I wish Royal would explore putting a beach club style resort/private area in the Tampico, MX region...as well as partner with other cruiselines & city/county/state in revitalizing the Port area in Corpus Christi, for and additional stop over, for the extreme Western Caribbean in the Gulf of America. I also wish they would consider permanently or at minimal, an 8mon seasonal sailings with a Voyage Class Ship, New Orleans.
  11. I take it, you're saying you drove from PaP to Lab, which yes, the last dozen or so miles are unpaved apparently. [Not Addressing This Directly At Zach... just making a point.] Which the narrative being conveyed misleadingly, if that's a word, imo, is treachery, in my book. Now, I don't think these rebels, will expose themselves, from the comfort of their own security; however, I wouldn't just take for granted, their capabilities, should they feel, it's a must, to bring more attention to the island. Movement thru the majority of a paved road, only to journey a dozen or so miles, on an unpaved road, not tracking thru a dense jungle, is very misleading.
  12. Can you quantify this....you have taken a poll?
  13. I certainly appreciate Royal's newfound presence on the West Coast; yet, my heart sorely desires, after viewing a number of Six & Five Day cruises, by Quantum & Ovation otS, that Royal could have combine some of these durations into 9-12 day cruises up & down the Pacific Coastline, Porting out of both L.A & Seattle, for a handful of cruises. Example: Two or three from L.A., to Ensenada, back up to Diego, Santa Monica, an overnighter in SF, to Vancouver, back to down & end in Sea. As well as two or three porting from Sea, to Victoria, back south to Astoria, overnighter in SF, to Diego, overnighter in Cabo back to & end in L.A. A missed explored opportunity, in my book.... would love to see that itinerary.
  14. You need to know, Royal, or any cruiseline for that matter, are supplementing as much crew salary as possible, that they can get away with. It's the nature of their business.
  15. In my opinion, the sooner they get rid of Wonderland, the better. Put Chops or Giovanni's Table, in its place.
  16. Exactly....why not expand Johnny Rockets up to where the Beach Shop is located, inside & out...jazz it up a little with like 50s style sports bar, with TVs and such, increasing more real-estate to watch big games, vs crowding up in Playmakers. Place another bar in the middle vicinity of both the Beach Shop & Sugar Beach current location, surrounded by seating & TVs. Expand the DogHouse, spice it up some, with outdoor seating with a few TVs and inside seating into where Sugar Beach currently resides, on a sports bar level...expand the menu to Chilly dogs, corn dogs, and minis, maybe some tots to go with it. The Boardwalk Bar would be the connecting/transitional point between the new DogHouse & the New Johnny Rockets. Move Sugar Beach across from the DogHouse, into the unused space, that is Playmakers high-Roller Suite, which I never seen utilize on Symphony or Oasis, with a little more outdoor seating. Get rid of the horse carvings & replace with small stand-up only bar tables, with Zantar being located where the first horse carving located & TVs embedded into the wall, with a sports/stocks ticker, On Air use to have, as one walk into the Boardwalk. No doubt Royal would get more traffic and sales there, if they were to incorporate these modifications. No way, the Crown Louge would be reallocated to the Boardwalk.....that would be just as big as a mistake as not putting a pool in the Solarium, on Harmony.
  17. I saw the 130,000 ton range, with a much wider berth, than some of their more notable smaller fleet.
  18. NCL still cruise out Honolulu dude, always had been, even after the covid years....it is far from Bankrupt. If Royal wanted to, they could flag the ship and do exclusive, year-round cruises around the Hawaiian Islands.
  19. LoL....I meant Charleston
  20. Sound like the ship will be capable of sailing under alot of low-laying bridges at some of the more exotic & poplar locations/ports. Philly could one day be in play as one poster suggest. The Class of ship is rumored to be pretty wide, which help negate the issue of "Length & Height" concerns at many of these smaller ports. The reported width also helps, when considering, an increase number & more larger venues, than previous smaller class ships. I think I once suggest a mini-version of an Oasis Class Ship...if report is true that the ship will carry a wider berth. Obviously, is would be where its gross tonnage will derive from. 8 of these ships would completely replace the 4 Vision Class & 4 Radiance Class ships; and, could very replace ports that these ships currently home port, like New Orleans, Tampa, Baltimore, Boston, the Middle East, and could add new home ports like on the West Coast, Charlotte, Philly, San Juan, dare I say it, a permanent flagged ship in Hawaii. The potential are there...which what I've been suggesting, for a long time now.
  21. I’m pleased to see a Quantum Class Ship will start porting out of LA…love the idea of doing some Mexican Rivera cruises on the West Coast….easy drive to LA. However, I would love to see Ovation do some Pacific Coast Cruises, up in down the West Coast of Vancouver to LA/San Diego, as well.
  22. LoL….it the Global Economy & the Financial Landscape. Simple as that. Disposable capital is nefariously fading for the other 99.5%.
  23. Especially the sofa & carpeting.
  24. I think many of us have offered the idea of a Lazy River…I even suggested a way to implement, structurally, the idea on Oasis Class ships. However, I have mentioned several times before, of a venue on Oasis Class ships, very reminiscent of 270 on Quantum Class; but that wouldn’t be a new concept. Also have mentioned somewhat similar to the thread starter, on a much grander scale, a mini-Dining Room position below the water line, if one can engineer out or buffer, the vibration & noise, that inherently will befall that area of the ship.
  25. There are several; however, off the top….more overnight port stay & I would flag one ship, from each of the three big Classes[ex. Odyssey, Wonder, Icon 3or4] as an ADULT ONLY ship, sailing either as short cruises(two 5D and a 4D) over a two week period every month or as a traditional 7D cruise, once or twice a month, or a mixture of the two, for a calendar year…to test & evaluate the market for such a thing, from RCG. Possibly, in the future, flag a Discovery Class Ship as ADULT ONLY, for the West Coast Market….don’t want to leave that potential market out.
