  1. Depends on the bartender. Some have just scanned our card and no receipt, others have given us the receipt to sign where the balance is $0 which gives us the chance to leave a tip.
  2. I wouldn't say you gave up your privacy to the deck below. Even if the balcony below was flush with yours, they could lean over the rail and look up to see you if you are at the rail. If anything, the balcony below has less privacy because they stick out and you'll be looking out and down at the water. That said, no balcony has 100% privacy. Your next door neighbors on the same deck can lean a bit and take a look onto your balcony. So I wouldn't do anything out there you wouldn't want a stranger to see.
  3. Prior to the shutdown the WJ would offer several dishes that were being served in the MDR that night. Is this still the case (on the sailings where there open for dinner anyway)? Or have the selections been reduced?
  4. @Jim D I was watching a ship tour and one of the boards with the cards I mentioned popped into view. Just so you know what it looks like.
  5. I forgot all about the new program. I feel like I need to make a "different ship - different policy" pocket guide or something.
  6. 12 and up kids participate in the teen clubs. I think the age groups there are 12-14 and 15-17, but they may combine the groups at times just like the younger kids sometimes do.
  7. Leaving from Perfect Day too. I guess you would have to take another sailing that stops there and jump one ship to board the other? Fly into Nassau and charter a boat to PDCC? Maybe they'll offer a pre-cruise excursion where you fly over the island and skydive onto the ship? I see off target parachutes getting stuck on the side of the waterslide tower.
  8. Park Cafe is on some of the older ships too - I know Radiance and Enchantment both have one in the Solarium. Enchantment's Kummelweck was a little dry and needed a side of au jus though. You can get smoothies at the Vitality Cafe.
  9. When you purchased the UPD you paid the 18% gratuity at checkout. You won't pay that fee again on the ship.
  10. We love Buc-ee's! One opened 2 miles from our house a couple years ago...I've been in that one only once. I think it's a road trip thing for us. Love me some Beaver Nuggets!
  11. Check your invoice. Just under the Itinerary is a note about the formal nights. Here's one from Liberty.
  12. They may be having trouble getting them. I'm in the wedding industry, and all my florists are having issues and can no longer guarantee specifics for our brides - substitution clauses have been added to everyone's contracts. They can get the type of flower, but not the right color or vice versa. They're even having problems sourcing silks instead of fresh flowers. Prices have also skyrocketed on flowers just like everything else. One florist mentioned to me this morning that it costs them $5000 to get what cost them $3000 in product just last year, which is of course higher than 2019 pre-pandemic weddings.
  13. Feb and June '22. Then we are waiting a whole 10 months until April '23 for the next one. June is our big Alaska cruise. I don't think DH is keen on putting down a deposit on a fourth until that AK trip is paid in full.
  14. Thanks for the photo - DH is 6'4", and I'm not sure one leg of his jeans would fit in that bag!
  15. How big is the $34.99 wash and fold "stuff everything you can into this bag" bag? We're thinking ahead to Alaska (Radiance), and trying to compare airline baggage fees vs. just having the ship wash a load for us. Also, is the special offered pretty much from day one, or does it only come up later in the cruise?
  16. We booked a similar time. I don't mind being early pre-flight, but a red eye with two kids isn't happening for us either.
  17. We're looking at flights for our Alaska trip, and of course will be booking an afternoon departure. Are there any issues, such as fog season in Galveston, that we should consider for getting odd the ship at to the airport in Vancouver in June?
  18. William Wilson founded Alcoholics Anonymous. Friends of Bill W are AA meetings held on the ship.
  19. My February 2022 cruise has all the photo packages listed as print or digital. My June 2022 only offers print options. There is one digital option, but it says it's not currently available for purchase online. Maybe they're changing things up again? I wish they still offered the unlimited package.
  20. I recall the cards were all posted together on a board or something. Anyone who walked by could look and see what was posted. Our first cruise back isn't for 80 more days, so hopefully they are still doing this.
  21. In the past I have seen cards posted at guest services (I think it was guest services anyway, maybe it was the library) where people were organizing their own events - a card game, extra Friends of Bill meeting, etc. They were pre-printed by Royal, and you just filled in the what, when, and where details.
  22. We did the America's Cup yacht race several years ago and loved it. We always say we would do it again if we ever sail to St. Maarten again.
  23. You can order a bottle of some alcohols and mixers through Royal Gifts. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/royalgifts/
