  1. You will find prices in your Cruise Planner. They are typically $25-35 per person per night. Menus can be accessed on the Royal Caribbean app (as well as on the Royal Caribbean website).
  2. I always pack a small USB fan. I've never heard that they are available on board. Someone else may have heard differently.
  3. They'll take it at the port. Don't lose any sleep over it.
  4. You will have no trouble if you choose to do self debarkation (managing your own luggage off the ship in the morning instead of putting it out the night before). Some ports do ask a few nights ahead of time what time your flights are and give you luggage tags/times based on that. You can always go to Guest Services and get a different departure time if the one assigned to you doesn't work for you. We usually just lug our own off of the ship.
  5. We'll never get off the ship in Costa Maya again unless we have an excursion that'll let us out without going through the shops. That area was awful.
  6. You can buy it under just one name. I believe they go by stateroom, so as long as someone from your stateroom is in the photo, it would be part of that.
  7. I guess I don't get this. You can get the Next Cruise certificate that allows you quite a while to book something once off the ship. You don't need to choose your sailing right there and then.
  8. That can happen with any cruise you book that has OBC and you reprice. It has absolutely nothing to do with Next Cruise.
  9. Your times in the ports are on your invoice (near the bottom). You can contact Customer Service at any time. I find the best way is via social media (their official Facebook or Twitter accounts).
  10. Prepaid gratuities are just what they sound like. You pay them ahead of time, and they are not on your bill at the end of the cruise. Many people just prefer to have everything paid off ahead of the cruise. It's a matter of preference.
  11. They are way cheaper than in downtown Toronto. Some of you will understand.
  12. Don't do anything. I get those emails and I've never had children.
  13. Yes, you should be getting points for your pre-cruise tour if it's booked with Royal Caribbean (I'm assuming you did an Alaskan pre-cruise tour?) Matt just interviewed someone this week on his podcast who did an Alaskan pre-cruise tour. Call the Crown and Anchor Society number directly and check (don't call the regular number). That number is (800) 526-9723.
  14. It's always good to research the different room types and what you may end up with prior to bidding. Not that it helps you now, but it's just good practice for anyone. Frankly, I enjoy a bigger balcony space, but unless the bid was very low, I wouldn't bother. You'll still have an amazing cruise!
  15. If everyone in your party is vaccinated you can do a rapid antigen tests. The at-home tests run about $35 a piece and are very convenient. https://store.emed.com/s/category/covid19-athome-test-with-verified-lab-report-emed/0ZG8c000000LZXk?c__results_layout_state={}
  16. I LOVE the Kimpton Epic - it's where we stay everytime we are in Miami. The location is fantastic, and I always get a room overlooking the Miami River or the towards the cruise port (although since I've been there they built another building next to the Kimpton which may block the views to the port, depending on the floor you get. The pool/cabana area is very nice. There's a complimentary wine happy hour each evening. The rooms are gorgeous and the staff has always been wonderful (and have always been able to put is in a room facing the direction we want when we ask nicely). I can't compare it to the Ritz Carlton, as I've never stayed in one.
  17. If you're sailing soon (like within a week or so), go ahead and book onboard as you will get onboard credit (the price of the cruise is the same whether you book on board or otherwise). You can transfer it to your travel agent within 30 days of booking it onboard, or, if you used one for the current cruise it will automatically be booked under your current travel agent. If your cruise is farther out you risk a price increase which may just negate the on board credit you receive, so don't wait if your cruise isn't very soon.
  18. @Donna Hunter - welcome to the message boards!
