  1. It's a matter of personal preference. I always find them cold enough for sodas and beer cans for us. They are not cold enough for medications that may need to be kept cold.
  2. With 7 nights on the ship, and the UDP, you'll be able to do lunch and dinner in every restaurant at least once (Wonderland does not do lunch). Obviously lunch is only available on sea days, but if you include boarding day, that's 3 sea days, which you could do Chops, Izumi, and Jamie's. For dinner I don't think there's any day that's better than another.
  3. Yes, you must wait until you are on the ship to make your reservations. It's always the first thing we do when we board. You can visit as many or the included restaurants as you want each day. Enjoy your cruise!
  4. I posted on the June 2023 group cruise roll call where it's not only offered, but it's offered at a lower (yet still ridiculously too expensive) price than the DBP without Voom.
  5. We often don't get a C&A discount on our fares. I figure my TA knows why, but I've never questioned it personally.
  6. I didn't read the whole thing (almost none of it, actually), but the comment about not bothering getting off of the ship in British Columbia is one statement with which I disagree. Victoria is beautiful. It's beautiful if you take an excursion, or if you just choose to walk off the ship through the downtown. I guarantee restaurants and bars were open, and there are some very lovely ones. We always walk to downtown, and the walk is beautiful. We enjoy the waterfront - we aren't shoppers so we never go into them anyway. Did I mention that it's beautiful?
  7. No restrictions, you can bring as many as you wish and there's no size restriction. I'd try to be kind to the porters and crew, though, and not pack anything ridiculously heavy.
  8. Whatever you check in with The Key will be taken directly to your room. It will be in your room when rooms open. You may not get your checked luggage for hours. So if you have things you want to have right away (change of clothes, wine/champagne, soda or water) that you can't/don't want to wait to get, but don't want to haul around for a few hours, it's super handy.
  9. Crown and Anchor status is irrelevant. Royal Up is administered by a third-party vendor.
  10. No, he will have to provide proof of vaccination prior to boarding the ship. Many of the countries that the ship sails to (I'd venture to say most/all? at this point) require anyone on board to be vaccination to stop at their port.
  11. LOL!! Absolutely NOT!! I just thought he might have some interesting content for you. I'm totally interested in knowing if you go on a Virgin cruise and what your experience is if you do.
  12. Even as a non-user of Adventure Ocean it may be the most important feature of Royal Caribbean to me. It keeps kids so busy and so entertained that they are rarely bored or act out on the ships. As someone who has never had kids and doesn't particularly enjoy spending time around them, this is such a benefit. They are happy, I'm happy, parents are happy, everyone benefits! Without Adventure Ocean I would probably have to cruise an adults-only line.
  13. Check out @monorailmedic 's content on www.cruisehabit.com (as well as CruseHabit on YouTube). They've been sailing frequently on Virgin and have some excellent content. If you have questions about anything he talks about, just post your question on the video or article. Billy answers everything quickly and thoughtfully.
  14. Here's me, hoping this doesn't end up conflicting with the RCB Group Cruise for Icon of the Seas. Got a really reasonable price on a CLS and just had to do it, though.
  15. I'd get the booster if you want to travel to Spain. "U.S. citizens can travel from the United States to Spain if they show that they are vaccinated against COVID-19, or have a recovery certificate , or show a negative diagnostic test result (NAAT or RAT) performed either within 72hours prior to departure to Spain for a NAAT (e.g. – PCR test) or within 24 hours prior to departure to Spain for a RAT (e.g. – rapid antigen test). Minors up to 12 years of age do not have to show proof "of vaccination, a recovery certificate, or a negative COVID test. Vaccines are valid from 14 days after the last dose up to 270 days. If more than 270 days (9 months) have passed since receiving the last required dose of their COVID-19 vaccine, U.S. citizens must show proof of having received a booster shot. The booster shot certificate is valid since the day it was administered."
  16. 1:25. It's seriously just right there when you get dropped off.
  17. Oh, duh. Of course, since I've never done a back-to-back. :::: slowly backing out of conversation ::::
  18. You have to ask at Guest Services once everyone is aboard.
  19. It's only Celebrity offering this right now, not Royal Caribbean.
