CDC has extended the no sail order through October 31, 2020.

Radiance Class in Alaska is a great choice. No venue is without wonderful windows. When we were on Ovation there were many venues that had no ocean view, which was disappointing.

Who's going to be booted

I know @Matt said that he once had a cruise accidentally canceled by RCCL. Hopefully that's all it is. -
Who's going to be booted
SpeedNoodles replied to Traveling family's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
@beachmama welcome to the forums! (and I hope it's a mistake!) -
Yes, it's possible. Up until last year that's always how we traveled to ports, because my husband is very afraid to fly. We live in Minnesota and we drove to Seattle, Vancouver, and Boston. But it's a 2 day trip each way to ANY port for us, so it adds 4 days to our PTO, which is why we only did it every couple of years. PTO goes fast when each day is 10 hours, lol. It also adds 4 days of pet sitting fees, so we'd prefer to not do that anymore. It'd be tough just for those reasons, but I guess it wouldn't be out of the question.

You are an evil genius (and I mean that in the best way!)

Healthy Sail Panel Thoughts?
SpeedNoodles replied to AndrewPunch's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Yeah, I'd have to bring a letter because my pulse ox is consistently low. My temp tends to run around 96-97 range, so if it's over 100 I feel like I'm dying. It's very rare for me. -
Healthy Sail Panel Thoughts?
SpeedNoodles replied to AndrewPunch's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Do they? (honest question, not being snarky). The ONLY time I have a fever, I'm sick, and I know I'm sick, and I shouldn't be going to work or on a cruise. Sniffles yes, but do people pick up a fever with allergies and common colds? -

That moment when you want to reply to this statement, but have to behave.... -
Is It Safe to Cruise Prior to a Vaccine?
SpeedNoodles replied to captainjak's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
And once the vaccine is ready to go it'll take quite a long time to distribute it to the masses. One friend of mine who works in biomedical was told on a conference call to not expect a vaccine to be widely distributed until 2022. There will be an order as to who gets it first (once they figure out what that order is). It'll take a while. -
Need Input from Jewel of the Seas Veterans
SpeedNoodles replied to CDR Benson's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I put out a call to Ken Jarvis on Facebook, who posted a cabin tour of that exact room on YouTube. Hopefully he'll answer soon, in case nobody else here has personal experience with it. He doesn't address it in the video - he probably did the video shortly after boarding. -
Time frame for Covid Testing
SpeedNoodles replied to Melody of the Seas's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Me either. We get calls on 911 all of the time that go something like this: 911: "And the female that you saw, can you describe her, please?" Caller: "Yes, she was a white female, brunette, blue jacket, elderly" 911: "And can you give me an idea of what you mean by elderly, sir?" Caller: "Oh, you know, about 35." 911: ...... bangs head on desk ..... -
Time frame for Covid Testing

So in the doc's opinion, anyone over 40 is elderly????????? -
The ability to purchase for only one person in the stateroom is very hit and miss. I believe it's a website glitch. It's an option for some, and not for others, even within the same sailing. But when it works in your favor it's awesome. It's always an option if you call RCCL and request it, but usually not on the website. Congrats!

2021, the year of many vacations

*sigh* I wish we could do that.
