  1. Nice! We did the same..not the same cabins but we're still there
  2. As long as you book with MEI you will be be invited to the group events that are exclusive to those that used MEI.
  3. I don't believe @Matt has publicly announced it yet..at least I don't see it on the events page.
  4. We had a B2B booked so we are shifting to make this be the 2nd leg and going on the July 19 sailing too.
  5. They are the little huts on the top level across the deck in the photo.
  6. If you are onboard and need to secure your booking, it works. There's a teeny bit of OBC with it usually..I had $38 once for an interior and $76 for a balcony. ..
  7. You can book refundable at NextCruise. However you would have to put up the full deposit amount and you also wouldn't get the OBC bonus for booking with NextCruise.
  8. Not seeing it in any of the 4 Utopia sailings we have booked.
  9. We have wrestled with trying this place but we have one in our traveling party who has issues with garlic and onions, but only sometimes, so Italian is always dangerous. It's even more dangerous when it is more than two steps away from the hotel front door
  10. No gambling required. It may affect future offers if you don't, but anecdotal evidence is hit or miss on that.
  11. Most of the Wonder sailings were specifically on the exclusion list they attached to the tier cruise. I know a lot of people did get to book Wonder, but I don't know if that was allowed before the exclusion list came out or not. I'm expecting that this year they will exclude the Icon sailings after her 1st birthday.
  12. If you book at NextCruise on a refundable rate you would be able to reprice into any TA group rates. The key is it has to be a refundable booking to be eligible for the group rates. The only benefit you get from doing this through NextCruise is you will secure your cabin selection. You won't be eligible for the reduced deposit or OBC bonus that is advertised by NextCruise. There usually is a small OBC offered with a refundable deposit, but you will have to pay the full $250/person deposit. Refundable fares also have a premium, so they do cost more than a non-refundable booking, but if your TA ends up having a group rate a lot of the time those rates are similar to the non-refundable booking price. Your NextCruise booking by default goes to the TA attached to your current sailing unless you tell them otherwise. If you didn't use a TA to book the Grandeur cruise you will have 30 days to transfer the booking. If it turns out the TA doesn't have any group rates you can decide if you want to switch your booking to a non-refundable deposit to capture the cheaper fare if you like.
  13. The twin beds can be pushed together. Ask your room steward. That's all the big beds are in most cabins.
  14. We have the roll calls for the group cruises under the parent Roll Calls topic. Feel free to jump in the convo over there! https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/boards/index.php?/topic/43898-voyager-of-the-seas-dec-28-2024-jan-2-2025-5-night-western-caribbean-perfect-day-royalcaribbeanblog-group-cruise/
  15. It's been hit or miss whether they've sold them on all the ships that can use them lately. They don't make a big deal about it when they do and it ends up spreading via word of mouth when they do sell them.
  16. Kennedy Space Center is worth a visit, especially if you have an entire day. You could stay in Titusville after or do the drive to the St. Augustine area that night and explore St. Augustine the next day. If you venture a little off the I-95 corridor over to Deland/Deltona/DeBary you could visit Blue Springs State Park. If your visit is during November through March, it is prime manatee season there. There are a lot of affordable hotels in that area because you are outside the touristy Daytona Beach and Orlando areas. It really depends on how you are getting around and what your group is interested in seeing or doing.
  17. The convention center hotels are pretty easy access to the cruise port, walking distance if you can handle luggage. I find walking is easier than getting a ride to the port if possible. There's a trolley stop in front of the port that will take you down into the Quarter easily enough if you want to spend time there.
  18. If you want any of the times available in the Cruise Planner for Izumi Hibachi or Chef's Table definitely pre-book those. Those two venues have fixed seating and fixed times so the Genie can't do anything if the time you wanted gets booked by others through the Cruise Planner. However, there are some times held back from the Cruise Planner so the general public doesn't have access to prior to boarding. Those are usually the slots the Genies use..but they don't want folks to miss out if they want those super early or super late times that are in the Cruise Planner.
  19. Have you considered taking Brightline from WPB? You could rideshare to/from the station to home and the port and probably come out way ahead over parking and driving in the Miami garage. I've only parked in an offsite lot in downtown Miami over 10 years ago and the shuttle experience turned me off. When I was researching other parking alternatives recently I found better reviews at some of the offsite MIA airport locations that I would have considered using and then just using rideshare from the lot to the port. CheapAirportParking uses hotels for their offsite parking and I'd feel comfortable leaving my vehicle there.
  20. They did not have them for sale (but had advertisements that make it appear that might change in the future). They were willing to reprogram old WOW bands.
  21. I haven't done this particular cruise. Different charters may handle them differently. But the ones I have been on all cleared out the theater venue after shows. Then they opened the doors 30 mins before the shows for people to take seats. Shows on the pool decks they didn't clear out, but on my cruises those are GA standing venues anyways.
  22. You get C&A points for the cruisetour..so 13 nights. If you're in a JS or above on the cruise you also get the extra point per night for being in a suite.
  23. On Icon it is complimentary beer/wine/soda in the Suite Lounge from 11a-11p. Complimentary liquor drinks from 5p-8p. The free drinks are only available in the Suite Lounge. Coastal Kitchen shares the room with the Suite Lounge so they use the Suite Lounge bar.
  24. Access to group rates is where the TA can save you money. If you're booking insides or balconies for 2, there may be a group rate set up already for your sailing if you work with a TA that is part of a larger consortium. This is where you could see significant savings if you are booking more than 120 days out (before the group blocks have to be given back).
  25. No dedicated pool but they do have a small area on the pool deck that is suites only seating. However it is not directly next to the pool. It's usually in an area of tiered seating next to the steps up to the bar. Also keep in mind your daily gratuities goes up when in a suite.
