I agree. They handled it correctly. Makes me feel good with Rotal (rather than irritated). And I'm sure many purchased the package that wouldn't have otherwise...us included.

Thanks for the replies. I think on Symphony my main drink was Kracken Pina Colada . Really yummy. The mango one looks good. And yes...one of our cruises with the DP is Mariner...thanks for sharing the link of your photos. Definitely has some great options!

Now that a lot of us got a great deal for the deluxe drink package, I thought I'd start a thread for those that have names and photos of their favorite drinks you can get on Royal (or even ones you tried). I'm a light drinker but do like "fun" drinks or wine with dinner ....so thought it would be good to come up with a list of things that look good to try.

Oh yah....cruise day! Excited for you all! Caught one of the scopes last night and must have been so wonderful meeting up together (have been to John's pizza twice...amazing pizza). It's such a different world today how friendships can start. Your time in NYC too with the tour looked busy but great. Looks like you're enjoying your cruise all ready.

Ditto. We wouldn't have gotten the package otherwise so if they cancel it, we're no worse off than we were (and Royal made money on us). What I don't get is why they didn't shut down the site when they were made aware of the error (i.e if it wasn't a quick adjustment back to the proper price)? Then they would have a had a lot less angry /disappointed customers when they say "no not honoring" and kept changing their response. Yes it was a mistake and too good to believe, but they did take our money and process orders so seems like they "should" fulfill. If they had shut down, then they could have cut their loses and not such an huge impact and not have bad PR as a result. Also..if they cancel, I wonder how they are going to handle giving those that already had bookings, the package back at that booked price. Otherwise, the current price may be more than what they booked at. Anyways...fingers crossed they just cancel. We're all anxiously awaiting (but maybe the delay is a good thing as they are reconsidering).

Not sure if they still have them, but there used to be "Elmos" running around. But they were not the cute cuddly Elmo ...very creepy looking. Back then, my DD was 3 years old and scared of them and would run the other way (well, we were holding her hand down NYC street but definitely wanted to run). Don't take a photo with any of them...they demand money.

Agree...deck can get hot and also careful as very slippery.

Thank you Skid. Absolutely...we know it's not a sit by the pool in the warm sunshine holiday at start and end (we're from Toronto so similar weather) but are really looking forward to it. Our kids will love the Sea Plex and we love cruising, the meals, shows, activities so know we will love it. @Lovetocruise2002 I can imagine what the end of the school year is like for you....so enjoy a well needed holiday! And LOVE how you also have Symphony shortly following. Anthem and then Symphony. What could be better?

Great start so far. Room looks great! Smart that your son tried the zipline and stuf first before it got too busy. That's awesome about Mamma Mia. I'm a huge fan too and have seen it 25 times in total (once on Allure, rest on land)

We tried Giovanni on Independence last year. The food was very good but had similar issue with slowness. DH complained to the manager and they brought us a bottle of wine to our stateroom the next day.

Someone on here told me a trick that works as I had same issue. Go to Order History and then select the excursion name from there. You'll see the current price.

What is White Night party? Have heard the term before but never knew what it is.

I tend to wear a waterproof pouch as I carry more than my sea pass around. The pouch lets me hold onto the cruise compass, small digital camera, eye glass strap, sunscreen plus sea pass.

Would love to hear recent experiences too. We purchased half day passes for our Anthem cruise awhile back. It still shows in my calendar, but cannot be purchased (and if I select the item in order history, no price shows). The Full Day has come down a lot in price from original ($105 to $89 CAD) , which is only $10 more than what we bought the half day at.

At least the shower capsules are bigger on the newer ships like Symphony. I don't mind them (and like that they are enclosed with a door) but totally get what OP is saying. I am a small person like OP and they just fit me.

Amazing review. Thank you for taking us along. Can't wait for Anthem next year. Sounds like you all had a wonderful time (despite a long day for your return). Your kids seemed to have a blast meeting new friends (even if you didn't get to see them as much). The age of teenagers and pre-teens! And everything seemed great on your side. We won't have a genie (in our measly virtual balcony rooms...lol) but good tip about booking things early in case you want to go again. I'm the same too, and even with one, would have wanted to book those myself. Glad to hear though that the shows were so good. And your Chef's Table sounds great too with meeting new people and good wine, plus you really seemed to enjoy CK. Bet you can't wait for Harmony.
