Thankfully the only time one our our bags got lifted by mistake was on the way home from a month in Australia The bag was full of dirty clothes so I wasn't toooo annoyed by it, less washing for me to do. 3 days later the airport called us up to say that someone had come back and brought the bag back so all worked out in the end

This is certainly an eye opener. I didn't realise that travellers in the UK could use US travel agents. Certainly would allow more options when looking at our next one. Cheers for all this research and info guys

My rule of thumb for dining was a nice pair of dark jeans or chinos and a buttoned collared shirt. I kept the shirt loose (1/2 size bigger than I would normally wear) so I was comfortable (and so I could indulge). I wouldn't do t-shirts for the main dining room or Chops but for Windjammer you'd be fine on that. I will admit I do like to dress up (not like that :P) so when formal night rolls around I am all over it. Suited and Booted

UK is the same, I've always tried to time things go we hit the Terminal just after 10AM regardless of what check in time they give on the set sail pass. That way you get on board early and can start enjoying. Once you hear that little beep of them checking your pass on board its like a huge weight gets lifted, instant de-stress

I'm certain I've gotten though 25 drinks in a day before, Coffees, Sodas, Cocktails On of the big nights they had on Anthem the Music hall was hiving, myself, the wife and a few couples we got talking to over the week decided to go all out that night. The night was like the set up to a joke, an Englishman a Scotsman and an Irishman up at the bar, and we decided to try all the drinks on the menu to see which we liked best. Mine was the Old No. 7, much to the barman dismay as it takes about 5 minutes to make one properly. Fair play to the guy, those drinks where proper. Next morning the crew where going though on of their drills, we where off on an early excursion, as we passed one of the stairwells we spotted the Barman from the previous night and said hello. He look at me and asked "How the hell are you still standing?" Twas a good night :)

Class, this is gonna be a good one to follow. Very interested in seeing the results

When we where on Anthem the Royal IQ app would track when a purchase was made for a drink under the drinks package, it just gave the location and a zero charge against it. It was fun towards the end working out an estimate of how much we would have spent..... we did pretty well that trip lol

@princevaliantus Yea I thought that would be how it goes, makes sense Thanks for that @Jason12 Oh didn't know you would end up swapping cabins. Hmm, more food for thought

Cant say for certain for Oasis but the milkshakes were included on Independence a couple of months back, however this was as part of the meal, you couldn't get a milkshake on its own or to go. Would like to imagine the rules apply fleet wide

Yikes, that is a good saving you got then. So, question, because we booked our during the "One Big Sale" are we able to reprice now that that's over? I take it we would lose whatever added Packages/incentives we got as part of our original booking
-
Wow, that a really good chunk of change. Ok so we can still alter things about if prices change, thats good to know. Cheers guys, that gives me something to think about

Hey guys, so I was a lurker on the boards for about a year I'd say before I decided to create an account and start posting. One thing I noticed in this time was the talk of booking a cruise now and then if the price comes down, reprice it and get it cheaper. From what I can see this ins't something we can do in the UK and when we book we're locked in with the price/deal we got at the time. Does anyone know why this is? Is this something specific within trading standards within the US that perhaps the UK doesn't have or is this country specific with Royal Caribbean and they have to allow or activate the ability to reprice without penalty

Very true, that is how our experience went. The wife and I where so excited to be sailing on Anthem when she first launched, was her first cruise and mine in a number of years. Did a quick search to find information on Anthem to see what we where in store for and ended up in "the other place" My heart sank when I start reading things about the ship, about the crew, about the other passengers. I was very close to cancelling at one point, but stumbled across this site, think someone had posted a link in a review or the like. It was like night and day. Started reading things by people not out to find fault with everything and actually enjoyed their experiences. Put my mind at rest a bit and when we went on the cruise I was happy to say that everything was fantastic. Since then I've never been back over to the dark side -

Really looking forward to seeing all the new modifications, following -
I do wonder about what goes though these peoples minds at this point. I mean, do they think that a train or a plane is going to wait for them too just because they've paid for a ticket?

Don't show my wife this suitcase. My backs already broken carrying her stuff though the airport

Don't know if these guys were guilty of it or not as you cant seem them approach but I hate when people are late for the ship and you see them Walk across the port..... RUN!!! The rest of us where all here on time, you move like you've got a purpose!

I get quite nervous about going too far from the ship when we head off by ourselves and keep checking my watch. I usually try and get us back at least an hour before departure time. I remember on one cruise we where about 40 minutes late departing from Lanzarote and we where sitting on our balcony just looking out over the port when we saw this taxi screaming though the security point, lights flashing horn blaring. He pulled up right next to the ship and a couple got out and legged the remaining 20 feet to the gangway. Needless to say they where met with many cheers from the on lookers on the Balconys.

Each guest earns Loyalty points of the nights they are on board. When you are booking initially you have the option to enter in the Lead passengers C&A which then can show you the reduced rates on the rooms if applicable. Afterwards though you can attach a C&A number to each of the guests on the booking. This would mean you could add the higher one at booking if it will get you a bit of discount and embarkation perks and then the other guest will earn their loyalty points as well while cruising.

Saw this one before Christmas and thought, yea I'm using this -
You should be able to do this Online though the Online Check in, that should open 90 days before your cruise. And yes once you get your sea pass in your hand you can start using it, I like to have a drink in my hand 10 minutes once on board :)
