  1. They’re classified as “Spacious” Ocean View rooms, I think. Still on the fence about upgrading to those rooms from an interior cabin.
  2. Oh yes, that part hasn't been done before except for sick crew members who are "confined to quarters"
  3. I'm shaking my head, not at you @smokeybandit, but at this entire impossible situation. All parties concerned are in a deadlock.
  4. I get that. But what is the problem with making one's vaccination known? Is this a can of worms/Pandora's box type of situation?
  5. If it's the same thing, I suggest we use FCC/Future Cruise Credits in discussions on this topic, just to avoid confusion. Newbie cruisers might start expecting physical vouchers in their mailboxes.
  6. What is the issue with vaccine passports? Don't the cruise lines have a lot of information about you already - name, address, DOB, passport/DL number? What is one more information to add to that list?
  7. Crew members working and sleeping in windowless areas and cabins is a condition that has existed decades before COVID.
  8. Can you please clarify what you mean by vouchers? It is not a term frequently used in Royal Caribbean circles.
  9. I like fixed rates for taxis to and from the airport. They do that in Madrid too.
  10. The thing about departing from Nassau is that I haven't even gotten off the ship there in my previous cruises. What's on your "to-do" list before the cruise?
  11. Has anyone noticed the recent increase in cruise prices? I'm not sure about this but I remember seeing lower prices while looking up sailings departing from Florida early this week. Maybe I should start a spreadsheet like @twangster.
  12. Now THIS is the approach I've posted in another thread. This will work better than the clamor of "disgruntled" cruisers.
  13. I got a $50 OBC but I've not been originally booked for the supposed Inaugural. EDIT: I just found out it was my TA who sent me the OBC. Thanks, @StephanieH
  14. See you at the 11/15 sailing! Is it still considered the "US Inaugural Sailing?"
  15. ... and it looks like the sale prices apply to this sailing. I'm still debating whether to "Add to Cart" or not...
  16. The CDC is in a "damned-if-you-do-damned-if-you-don't" situation with this pandemic. They're being damned right now for the restrictions/suspensions they have imposed on the cruise industry. If, heaven forbid, another outbreak happens on just one cruise ship, guess which direction fingers will be pointed at. I understand why they've chosen to err on the side of caution. Of course, from the viewpoint of cruise lovers like us, the CDC is erring on the side of TOO MUCH caution.
  17. I've seen appeals for cruisers to write their legislators and officials in support of the cruise industry. Are there parallel moves involving workers impacted by the cruise suspensions? I think the better approach to this is not to invoke the "freedom to cruise" but to highlight the job losses from the suspensions.
  18. I got my J&J vaccine in early March. They're saying that the vaccines provide immunity for at least 6 months (and up to two to three years). My Odyssey cruise in November is outside of that minimum time frame. Does that mean I will need booster shots before my cruise?
  19. Glass half full or half empty? Safe answer: It's at the halfway mark
  20. Looks like I'll be on the Odyssey Inaugural Sailing after all. Woot Woot My very reliable TA, @StephanieH, has gotten me booked for an Inside Stateroom (for now). That puts me on a B2B on the Odyssey for 11/15 and 11/20 You can contact her for details. The US Inaugural sailing is not on the Royal website yet.
  21. I can't wait for this to happen. If I get on this sailing, it will put me on a back-to-back sailing on the Odyssey. I'm already booked for the November 20 sailing. (Fingers crossed)
