Ricky Matthews from Jamaica was the CD then. The AM was Moe (Mosese Vatuloka) from Fiji, so it might be him.
Thanks for the info. Yes, it was Moe.
Ricky Matthews must have been on break when I sailed. He did not make an appearance at all. I thought all the while that Moe was the CD. He pretty much did everything that Bobby Brown did on the Harmony when I was on it. -
The Cruise Director on the Majesty last November (2017) was a guy with a very long foreign name. IIRC, he was of Polynesian descent. Does anyone here know/remember him? I'm trying to recall who he was. I also forgot the short version of his name.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but here goes...
Are there any guidelines for Live Blogs in this Forum? -

Wow, that really puts to test Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart..."
I believe He did "direct my paths" that day, my bad driving habits notwithstanding.

Easier to just open an Incognito mode (Private Mode) window. Cookies and locally stored data are then hidden without having to wipe out that stuff and start fresh on all your sites.
Thanks for the tip

70+ miler per hour in a construction zone, eating and taking a picture while driving.
And we wonder how accidents happen
Not proud of that moment.

No, I think we all just log in to Royal’s site regularly, possibly using an incognito mode window...
I clear my browser's history and cache every time I check. LOL

As Joe said, I find it necessary to just check every day. Such is my obsession...
Does checking for prices at least three times a day count as an obsession?
Is there a "Cruisers Anonymous"? Please sign me up... "Hi, I'm PG. I'm a Cruisaholic"

Wow! You like to live the life of adventure. A little traffic or a problem like a flat tire and you could have been out of luck.
I admit that it added some sense of thrill to the cruise experience.
I did not want to miss the church service and I kept on telling myself that if I missed the boat I was willing to bear the consequences.
Here are some more details:
I parked my van by the church's side exit facing outwards so I can drive off as soon as the final "Amen" was said. Funny thing is that on my way out, somebody asked me to join them for prayer. I had an energy bar for lunch in the van. Disney announces the names of people coming on board so being one of the last ones to board, I can see all those people with puzzled looks at this guy in church attire. They must have been thinking, "Formal Night comes early on this cruise". LOL

Hi All! How do you watch prices for cruises? Some companies like Amazon have apps that notify me of price changes for products I'm interested in.
How about cruise prices... is there a app for that?

When I sailed on the Disney Magic, I was probably one of the last to board. I came from a church service in Jacksonville that ended at 12:30PM. I made it to Canaveral just a little bit before the boarding ended. But the departure time was at 5:00PM.
RCL ships leave at 4PM so with the average drive time from Jacksonville, I’ll arrive at Canaveral about 45 minutes before sail off. I don’t think they’ll let me board.
What do you think?

What is the latest (actual) time that one is allowed to board on a ship that's leaving at 4PM? Do they strictly impose the 90 minute rule?

I will be on this itinerary in November. I'll be traveling solo so I should have some time to chat with you on this thread about the ports and the onboard experience as well.
I'm still researching on the ports myself.

I'm looking to book this excursion in Basseterre, St Kitts in November. I got the impression from reading other threads that it feels somewhat rushed. Something about the guides taking you up the mountain and then down.
Here are some of my questions about it:1. How was the experience? Was it fun or did it have a "boot camp feel"? (Please note that I have a love-hate relationship with the gym)
2. What happens when you reach the top? How much time is spent there?
3. Did it feel safe? (Thinking about snakes, poisonous spiders, and other scary critters)
4. What type of shoes do you need for this?

Be warned about this one: A few here have done this excursion and posted about it, and have stated that it's not an excursion for anyone who isn't very physically fit and with lots of endurance. It's apparently a very fast-paced and strenuous hike over steep and at least moderately difficult terrain.
I want to book this excursion in November. I think I should spend more time on the StairMaster at the gym.

November 19, 2018 Serenade of the Seas
Studio Balcony or Ocean View
in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Posted
I've made a reservation for a 7-night Alaskan cruise on the Ovation of the Seas for August 30, 2019. Right now I'm booked for a Studio Balcony Stateroom. The Ocean View room costs $200 more than the Studio Balcony. Which would be better, the balcony or the 7 additional points I get for paying the supplement? This will be my first Alaskan cruise.
