I'm not overly concerned about that.  We already have 2 sea days after Boston.  I can't see them giving us 3 sea days in a row unless they have to.

Back on the ship I took some Saint John photos absent of the wind that was present earlier in the day.
The terminal and tent area for the cruise terminal.

Like Halifax the hop on, hop off bus is a great option for self-explorers.
Saint John is a really nice city and I'm glad they didn't cancel our stop from the high winds or medical diversion we experienced early.

The flowrider was running but empty.

In the Viking Crown Lounge each night they have set up a temporary bar for the nearly 1,300 D/D+/P C&A guests that are eligible.

Once I walked down the hill on the sidewalk beside the road I reached river level and found a nice riverwalk along the shore.

The ship remained in sight for most of the walk at this point.

It's a really nice walk.  Why didn't I come this way going to the reversing falls?

There are nice areas along the path that are designed for children and are educational in nature.

Art work also can be found, including this cargo container.

    "Wind and Water"

This path is part of The Great Trail, also known as the Trans Canada Trail that reaches from coast to coast and is some 24,000 km long (15,000 miles).  I walked part of that trail near the other end in Victoria, British Columbia when I was on the RoyalCaribbeanBlog group cruise in June on Explorer of the Sea to Alaska.

Getting here by cruise ship I imagine is infinitely more enjoyable compared to walking the entire 24,000 km of it.
Continuing towards the ship there is an opportunity to approach the river and rock hound.

Continuing, there is a nice boardwalk where the shuttle boat I saw playing under the bridge departs from.

It's a very family friendly area and inviting.

As the slogan goes, "Find your beach".  Set up for beach volleyball this looked like a great mid-summer thing to do.

Walking along the sidewalk back to ship shows what a clean, pedestrian friendly city Saint John is.

The restaurant has great views and while I often avoid restaurants tied to a scenic attraction (CN Tower,  Space Needle, etc)  I was glad I stopped here to eat.

Like any decent restaurant in the maritimes, live lobsters were available. Real lobsters.

First, I needed a Barking Squirrel.

All beer served here is from the Moosehead Brewery which is right across the road behind the Mill.  I'm very familiar with Moosehead beer having grown up on it although just the one lager that is typically shipped out of province.
Watching the water flow upstream was quite mesmerizing.  It's really moving!

My Canadian Elk burger was fantastic.

Followed by a Moosehead Pale Ale.

To give you an idea how much water is flowing upstream, here is a time lapse video as I ate an Elk.
If I was able to stay longer, you would see the flow reversing and the river returning all that water towards the sea.
Here is the Moosehead brewery as seen from the restaurant.

With that it was time to head back to the ship.  I chose to follow the road across the bridge and downhill towards downhill.  I used the river as my guide so I basically followed it to the ship.

Back on board and excited from the rush of 'flying' a 737 I quickly consumed a frozen drinks after the walk in hot Nassau sun back to the ship before changing into long pants and a dressy shirt then heading up to the Concierge Lounge.  I had the drink package so i didn't need to visit the lounge but it was formal night and I had some time to kill before my MTD reservation so why not take in the views from up there?  It really is a nice lounge.
Not long after the concierge was making her way around talking to guests and she sat down next to me.  I was mostly over the sewage issue and ready to let it go still high from my excursion but she approached it like I was out of line and she couldn't comprehend why I had been upset by it in the first place.  Seriously?  She was going on the offensive when I was all but over it?  Sorry but I don't find it acceptable that I should have to walk through sewage in a suite no less (even just a JS).
To be honest, she really pissed me off and I politely and in a calm voice told her I do not find the situation or the way it has been handled to be satisfactory.   The look on her face said it all, like I had made up the whole thing.  With a new look of disdain on her face I told her I was going to cancel some cruises from it and so I did.  Ten in all.  Just saved myself over $20,000 not to mention airfare and other related charges.
Earlier in the day and what had led me to getting over it was asking myself if I was being too much of a snowflake.    I wasn't harmed by it.  I didn't let it ruin my cruise or even the day.  I had an awesome excursion.  Despite that, the fresh salt in the wound and a couple of drinks was all it took for full snowflake mode to kick in and in hindsight i did let it get to me too much.  Damage done though and I looked her in the eye and told her because of this I am cancelling ten cruises.
With that I headed off to dinner, internally fuming a bit.
The dining staff were right on their game again with excellent service.  I was not going to take this out on them so I put it behind me for the moment and enjoyed dinner.  I wasn't in the mood to promote Royal Caribbean or take nice pictures and post them so no dinner shots and I abandoned plans to take night photos of the ship in port since we were staying until 11:30pm.  Basically my creative spirit had been zapped and I left my good camera in the safe.
You tell me - is sewage bubbling up into your cabin a 'nothing' event that we all should just accept?

    Merry Christmas!
In addition to changing time the night before we reached San Juan, we've entered the cruise ship time warp.  Time is flying by and I'm behind processing photos.   I took a bunch in San Juan yesterday but we've now arrived in St. Maarten and I just took in our arrival from the helipad.   Since I've got an early excursion I'll try to return and work on photos later today.
When I ran into the couple from BC whose son is a skater they asked me to email them some photos.   I sent them nearly 30 shots of not only their son but of the whole skating team.   Last night the team held their own little Christmas Eve party.  They all loved the photos so much they emailed me back with a thank you video.
Time to load up on sun screen while some of you gear up to shovel the driveway ?.
    Merry Christmas everyone!

Thought I would start this thread for fun.  We just got off a ship that I won't name (would not want @twangster to accuse me of blasphemy again ?) and I found myself missing RC desperately. So here goes...
You know that you are loyal to Royal when:
    1. You catch yourself constantly referring to the buffet on the unnamed non RC ship as Windjammer.
    2. Every ship you see in the distance looks like an Oasis class ship to you.
    3. You stare longingly at every RC ship that you are docked next to and wish you were on it instead. Then you snap pics of it for @Matt's Friday photos even though you are not sailing RC.
    4. You catch yourself comparing every single little thing to RC and thinking RC does it better.  Then you start promoting RC to the rest of your sailing party and some crew members. ?
    5. You find yourself wanting your sailing to end so you can quickly get on to your next RC cruise! March can't come soon enough!

How about the rest of you who love RC? How did you know?
