Anything that has to do with lobstering, crabbing, and fishing. As soon as the rest of the 2020 itinerary is announced we are booking it! Will probably do both RCCL and third-party excursions.

@twangster You are very correct. A lot of people (and horses) lost their lives in (still) the much hyped gold rush. Sutter's Mill, anyone? Here today, gone tomorrow (except to tour operators).

@KathyC aka KathLuvsGH In your experience, how soon do you receive the notification? I've noticed that it has been absent from the Juneau excursions for about a month, now.

We have reserved the fly-out fly fishing excursion for the July 19th Alaska Southbound Sailing. I was able to reserve and pay for this excursion back in April 2018. Now, when I look at excursions for Juneau this does not appear anymore. Is that because it is sold out? It still appears in My Calendar and haven't received a refund.

So, we've decided to change it up. Planning on flying in on Tuesday (late night arrival to ANC). Spend three nights in ANC, staying at Lakefront Anchorage Hotel, first day (Wednesday) open for on our own exploring to get out bearings from the long travel and time change effects, second day (Thursday) Rust's Guided Fly-in Fly-fishing (float plane) from the lake at the hotel, third day (Friday) Goldstar service to Seward and board that beautiful Radiance of the Seas! Woot! So darn excited!

Hello All, Very simple question. What is the tell-tale sign of a booze cruise on RC's website? I am wanting to avoid those. Is it some or all of the 3 and 4 night cruises? Is there anything else that might clue me in? Thanks, Baked Alaska

Hello. We will be cruising Alaska Southbound July 2019. We are looking for fishing excursions for both Seward and Skagway. I've tried scheduling with RCCL's Private Journeys, but they replied that they couldn't schedule anything (for Skagway). So, I'm wondering if anyone has a recommendation for these ports. Being that this is a Southbound, we will be flying into ANC three days before, spending one night in Anchorage. We plan on heading over to Skagway and remain in that port city for two days (inclusive of embarkation day). Any recommendations will be appreciated.

We will be taking our first cruise with RCCL (reformed Disney cruisers) for Alaska South Bound (July 2019) in a Grand Suite. I understand that after the first cruise with RCCL, cruisers are automatically enrolled in Chrown & Anchor. My question is: will the double points (Grand Suite) from that first cruise be the first points applied to our Crown & Anchor accounts or will the points start to accrue AFTER our next cruise in December 2019?
