  1. @JesseandDee And, just so I understand how Royal UP works, the slider on the bidding page says $800/pp for 2 guests. So that means you are paying $1600 total for your upgrade? I was a little confused on it.
  2. @tonyfsu21 Yes. Somewhere near the bottom of the email, it said that I am receiving this email since I opted in to marketing emails from RCCL.
  3. Here is a current thread on the medical facility:
  4. Sadly, I recall that there will be no dedicated suite areas on CC.
  5. I am 73 days out from our Radiance sailing. We were offered to bid on the Royal suite. Happy where we are, didn't bid, but certainly outside of the 30 day window.
  6. Hi @Bluegrass Gal! Try these: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2013/08/29/cruising-101-staying-the-ship-port-days and https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/podcast/episode-247-staying-onboard-royal-caribbean-ship-while-port Happy Cruising!!
  7. We will have Concierge Lounge access on our July Radiance of the Seas sailing. Our son is 15. Will he be permitted to participate in the hors d'oeuvres, evening drinks (soda), and continental breakfast with my husband and me in the Concierge Lounge?
  8. 100% agree with your husband.
  9. So it's not covered under the ultimate Dining Plan, which can only be purchased on the cruise planner. This doesn't make sense.
  10. Hmmm. That's seems like a penalty (maybe not the right word) for booking on the CP.
  11. We are also seeing $44 for our Alaska sailing, but the cruise is so incredibly port intensive that we couldn't possibly fulfill that beverage package. We decided to go with the refreshment package. However, for an upcoming Oasis Western Caribbean we will be using the deluxe drink package.
  12. I FIGURED IT OUT!!! RC is not offering 20% on dining experiences. They are offering 20% off on dinging experiences! Savings on exclusive dinging experiences: 20% off when booking Chef’s Table and any Culinary Experiences onboard.
  13. We also received the email today, but I'm curious. We booked the Izumi Hibachi and also have the Unlimited Dining package. When or how do we receive the 20% discount, as there was no discount offered on the cruise planner.
  14. Thank you, @Matt. Having had cabanas at DCL's Castaway Cay, which were nice, the time it took for the concierge (yes, the suites concierges ARE the cabana attendants on CC) to get to the cabana and then to retrieve the order took more time than we liked. So, this is good news. Will tip nice, then, regardless.
  15. Looks like you're good to go! https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2019/05/01/royal-caribbean-expects-oasis-of-the-seas-return-service-may-5
  16. Hello All! In reading about the cabanas at Barefoot Beach, I see that they also have a "dedicated cabana attendant". First, are these RC employees? Also, just how often do you see them and how do you notify them that you need something? Finally, what is the turn around time on the request once it's made? I'm referring to this article: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2017/03/06/barefoot-beach-cabanas-royal-caribbeans-labadee.
  17. Including qty of port days. Will not add to Alaska, but Caribbean sailings for sure.
  18. Agreed. To add to the mix are consideration s of you are staying in a grand suite or higher.
  19. Go back to page 4, Section II, Trip Cancellation, this part would cover those 48 hours before your trip (I, too, am looking at your NJ doc for discussion, not my state, ). Then, there is the Cancel for Any Reason which is separate from this previously mentioned coverage. The CFAR is for ANY reason. . . dog died, garbage disposal blew up, ANY (yes, even stupid) reason. Yep, if your dog dies within 48 hours of travel, then too bad, you're going on vacation. Forty-nine hours earlier, you could have made your claim. Regarding the 48 hours after the start of your trip, Missed Connection or Travel Delay would kick in, here, to JOIN your trip. If you have to stop your trip, look further into the reasons to leave the tour/cruise (check out page 6 under "Other Covered Reasons"). Adding to Edit: I will call my agent and pose your questions to her and update later. I love picking apart these docs. Yes, I like to do taxes, too. It's an illness, I guess.
  20. MMmmmm. No. My CFAR, if you will, ends embarkation day (and trip interruption starts with all the medical and other coverages). Have used it twice. 75% back is better than 0%.
  21. So, currently I am able to reserve Sabor for my March 2020 sailing on Oasis. . . .
  22. A travel agent, say @Sharla at MEI travel if you don't have one, could set this up for you! She's been wonderful to work with for our cruises, including notifying me of cruise fare price drops!
