  1. Yeah she's down at the moment. I saw the same on Ovation now this is showing...
  2. Thanks @JLMoran and @Susie - I thought this might be the case! The kids are used to Oasis Class so this doesn't sound like the best idea! Maybe they can just stay home this time! ?
  3. Celebrity Eclipse will be homeported in Melbourne Australia in 2020-21 so I'm considering my first Celebrity cruise. I would like to know first though.. is there much for teenage kids to do and the Solstice class ships??
  4. Thanks Matt, I was just curious as to what Royal Caribbean would do as there appears to be nothing on the US website to prevent non-US residents booking those deals so long as they are willing to pay in US dollars. Speaking of the different websites - I have also noticed on the cruise planner for a Symphony of the Seas booking I don't get the Perfect Day options (see below). It's no big deal, I just find the subtle inconsistencies between the two websites interesting, and wonder why they don't just use the one site for everyone. It would be easier for them as well not having to maintain multiple websites. Australian cruise planner: US cruise planner:
  5. I think that is an old sale - says ends Nov 13th.. Celebrity Cruises has started their sale - $25 deposits + save up to $800 + free drinks. Hoping for something similar from RCL.
  6. Yeah fair enough.. sorry I forgot the deal was only for balcony and suite cabins.
  7. Have you thought about re-booking the cruise as they are now offering free deluxe beverage package on those sailings? Depending on the original price you booked the cruise for it may or may not work out cheaper that way but it's worth a look. I am assuming it's a 9 night South Pacific so you're looking around $774 for the deluxe beverage package. If your original cruise fare is not $774 less than the current fare they are offering you could potentially make some significant savings by re-booking the cruise with the current deal.
  8. What happens if I book a cruise from the US website even though I live in Australia? The US and Australian websites always have different deals - right now after currency conversion from USD to AUD I can book the same cruise for around $1200 cheaper as the Kids sale free offer + OBC applies on the US website but the Aussie site just gives me BOGOHO and no OBC. Do Royal care which site I book from? or will they hunt me down later ?
  9. @CruiseLife72 Thank you for the link. Looks like I'll be booking Voyager for the Jan school holidays then.
  10. Does anyone know the dates for the Voyager dry dock? I've looked at the schedule and there is a 24 day gap in April which doesn't seem long enough - and a 35 day gap in Sep/Oct when the ship is in Asia. Can they do a dry dock in Asia or does it need to travel somewhere else?
  11. You are already Gold from your first cruise so the difference is only $25 less than if you were Platinum. You'll get double points for booking a suite no matter what level you are.
  12. The problem is the port days.. I found it hard to break even on these days being off the ship all day so found myself trying to make up for it on sea days! I'm going to try without on my next cruise on Symphony.
  13. I'm guessing the same as 2019 - Radiance and Ovation. Asia will get Spectrum next year which means Ovation is free to do Hawaii and Alaska then return back to Australia and repeat for 2020.
  14. The 2019-2020 schedule only showed Alaska dates up to Sep 2019 as the ships sail to Australia via Hawaii in October. I am expecting this 2020-2021 schedule to only show Alaska dates up until Sep 2020. Will have to wait a while for 2021 Alaska dates.
  15. Given the RCL and Celebrity websites are very similar after you sign in to view your cruises I can't understand why RCL doesn't show all your cruise details like the Celebrity one does? It's so much better than RCL - its got all your cabin details and add-ons, balance details, option to cancel, etc..
  16. Thanks, I tried that but it seems bookings made after a certain time no longer appear in the old website. I can see my booking for Symphony but not for Ovation which I made at a later date. The link to add a missing booking redirects to the new website. Looks like I will just have to call them.
  17. Thanks. That is slightly annoying!
  18. Does anyone know if it is possible to cancel a cruise via the new website like you could in the old 'My Cruises'? I can't seem to find the option anywhere. Thanks, Matt
