  1. In fact, I just found the exact picture they used. Liberty of the Seas to Australia.. take it to the bank! ?
  2. I think you might be onto something there.. On closer inspection the pic looks like the aft of Freedom/Liberty of the Seas with the wooden seats behind the flow rider and the loungers. Voyager class ships don't have that much room at the back. Perhaps with the addition of Odyssey of the Seas to North America this will free up a Freedom class to move to Australia. The only problem with that is itineraries for Freedom, Indy, and Liberty are already out until April 2021. We could be waiting a while in that case!
  3. This week apparently! On another note - Vision of the Seas is the fastest ship on earth or Royal are playing games! Brisbane, Australia - April 8th Fort Lauderdale, Florida - April 9th
  4. Any ideas? This post is targeted towards Australian facebook users.. so I'm thinking maybe Voyager amplification details or maybe a different ship is coming for 2020/21 season..???
  5. What is there to explain?? A ship company displays propellers as art work - seems pretty logical to me!
  6. Sounds like you got the wrong info regarding the passport application - only the people listed on the birth certificate need to sign. See below - the first option applies to you. Evidence of sole authority to apply for the minor must be submitted with the application in the form of a: U.S. or foreign birth certificate, Consular Report of Birth Abroad, or adoption decree, listing only the applying parent Court order granting sole legal custody to the applying parent (unless child's travel is restricted by that order) Court order specifically permitting applying parent's travel with the child Judicial declaration of incompetence of the non-applying parent Death certificate of the non-applying parent
  7. From memory the 4 pools are.. Kids zone Beach pool.. chair area slopes down into water - no pool edge Normal pool Sports pool - often volleyball matches and games happening - if not just a normal pool We sailed April 2017 and never had a problem getting a chair around at least one of the pools. Never saw any adults only signs.
  8. I took my son on Harmony all access tour because he is mad about ships. It was expensive ($163 AUD each).. I wouldn't do it again but worth doing once. We were last out of the engine control room and they let him sit in the chairs to get photos even though it was a roped off section. The Bridge is also pretty cool.
  9. Flying right to left across the Pacific is ok.. you'll be leaving at night so most likely feel like sleeping and they'll dim the lights pretty quickly. Left to right is not so fun as the flight will leave in the morning which makes it hard to sleep and given time goes backwards travelling in that direction you end up having to live the same day twice. If you can have an early lunch at the Opera House before boarding the ship.. great views and photo op of Ovation docked next to the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
  10. With prices starting from $29,990 he'll be cancelling a lot of Caribbean cruises!
  11. Some extra details I just read.. not sure if they have been mentioned already on the site.. but here: "Number six in a series, the ship will get larger, expanding to 231,000 tons, compared to the 2018-built Symphony of the Seas at 228,081 tons. The number of staterooms will also increase, according to a press release, going to 2,857 cabins, for a double occupancy of 5,714 guests. By comparison, the Symphony of the Seas has a double occupancy of 5,518 passengers."
  12. So in fact it would be more economical for RCI to sail Oasis class ships down here due to the reversed gravity. I'm now convinced #6 is on its way down under.
  13. I heard a rumor that RCI are going to pay to raise the height of the Sydney Harbour Bridge... Seems feasible with the way they are throwing their cash around at the moment!
  14. Ovation of the Seas - 10 Nov 19 Symphony of the Seas - 19 Sep 20 Navigator of the Seas - 28 Sep 20
  15. On Harmony OTS we had a balcony mid-ship deck 14...it's actually quite a bit of walking if you are going to and from the room a lot (not that it was a problem for us, just an observation). For Symphony we are trying a boardwalk balcony for something different. Also, it comes with free soda packages and dinner at johnny rockets. Not sure if it will be any better from a location perspective but the stairs/lift are a lot closer this time.
  16. Come on.. you guys already have 5 O's! I think that's enough.. She's coming to Australia! We'll give you Ovation back.. and we may even throw in Radiance if you are lucky!
  17. I've rescheduled our September 2019 cruise until early next year as I'm not confident it will be completely finished even by then. Coming all the way from Australia.. I'm not going to risk it!
  18. Thanks for the replies.. I think we'll try our luck at Blue Hole.
  19. Book a room at Comfort Inn and Suites (across the road from Atlantis) - the room comes with full Atlantis day passes. Catch a taxi to hotel - check in and out at the same time and they will give you a pass which you take to Atlantis and swap for Aqua Adventure wrist bands. Stay there as long as you like for about half the price. Catch a taxi back to ship when you are done.
  20. For those experienced in Falmouth, Jamaica - what is the best shore excursion to do here? Open to anything, and not fussed if it's through RCI or someone else. Thanks.
  21. Yes, after a quick search I see that @twangster went full YOLO about 6 months ago!
  22. Just wondering if anyone on here has booked a cruise on Spectrum of the Seas? I'm considering it but reading a lot of bad reviews about cruises that depart SE Asia.
  23. Fair enough.. I guess they reserve a spot well in advance just incase. I guess we will find out on March 18...
