ur stateroom location on Deck 11 (1104) was a perfect location. The hallway was so quiet and private and it was great being so close to the solarium, pool, and WJ.  It was nice having the room new and fresh. This sailing I did realize that with tween girls, it is getting very difficult to share a room with one bathroom. Thank goodness I have a patient husband. There were times this cruise where things got quite dicey with the kids. Lol. First world problems.

You won't need to worry about that on your next cruise! You will have 2 bathrooms!

I am still confused as to which we should check off on the post cruise survey that the server asked for good ratings. Our server has mentioned several times that if we are happy to make sure we give a good rating. We would regardless as he has been wonderful and it is well deserved but I also don't want to get him in trouble by what I answer. Thoughts anyone?

When you do the survey, you can rate the quality of the food. That is separate from the service part. There is also a spot to write your own comments, so you could mention his name and how great he was and also mention that you didn't enjoy the food that much.

  3. Well our last day has almost come to an end. ?

We had a fantastic week. The staff in CK were wonderful.  Our room attendants were great and we were spoiled by the CLS and amenities that come with Sky Class.

One perk is luggage valet and we're looking forward to not having to worry about our luggage until we land in Detroit.

I will end with a few last pictures and a link to the periscope I did from our balcony this afternoon. ?

  4. Sailaway from Cozumel took place during our dinner in CK. It was amazing to watch how the Carnival ship turned around as well as our ship.

Dinner was great as always. For appetizers we chose escargot (yes again) and wild mushroom consomme. Our mains were the braised short rib for me and crab crusted flounder for mom. We both had creme brulee for dessert.

After dinner we went to the showing of "Like Father" in the Aqua Theatre.

I saw it last night...cute and very predictable. The only thing I laughed at was the cell phone stuff. Throw it in the water and magically it still works; I don't think so. I haven't seen Kelsey Grammer in a long time so nice to see he still gets work.

I just don't understand the necessity for throwing in profanity when clearly it is not warranted or needed. Do people really talk like that all the time?

I agree. The profanity wasn't necessary for this movie. We watched it aboard the Oasis in the Aqua Theatre. They did announce that it was M for mature audiences but there were still quite a few young children there. Everyone was turning and looking around after she was yelling (insert swear words) at the taxi. ?

  6. Yesterday we were in Cozumel and wanted to get off the ship and shop before it got too hot. We have been to Cozumel and have done several tours so we didn't have one planned. We had a bagel and some fruit for breakfast in the suite lounge.

Around 9 we took a taxi to the shopping area and we were dropped off at Los Cincos Soles. Here we bought some vanilla and earrings.

We walked to a few other shops for some souvenirs and Alex and Ani bracelets before going back to the ship.

It was a busy day in Cozumel - 6 ships were in port (Liberty was docked next to us).

We had lunch in CK. I had the Mediterranean wedge and flatbread while mom had the tomato soup and grilled shrimp and spinach salad. All was very good. It was also very quiet in there.

Correction for Royal... Rated "MA" for Mature Audiences. I should work for Royal...?

They did announce that it was M for mature audiences A little swearing doesn't bother me, but I'm sure some parents wouldn't like their kids to hear it! So why have face painting and balloons which are activities for young kids then?  ?

  8. Yestetday morning we went to Johnny Rockets (breakfast sandwich and eggs my way).

After breakfast we wandered around on deck 5. Some of the shops were having sales and the big one that they were promoting were Invicta watches for up to 75% off. Mom bought a couple of shirts (2 for $30).

We sat at Starbucks and the Captain ended up sitting at the table next to us. He was friendly and spoke with us.

Later we sat on our balcony and enjoyed the sun and watching the basketball court and flow riders.

We were late for lunch in CK so we tried the Windjammer. Maybe it was the day we went,  but we found the choices and quality to be lacking. I found it to be better on the Allure.

At 3:30, we went to the Aqua Theatre to watch "A Wrinkle In Time." Mom decided she wanted popcorn ($2.95 for a small container). Before the movie began, we were entertained by the aqua performers who were practicing.

It was the second formal night. Mom had the shrimp cocktail and I had the risotto (I apologize but I forgot a picture of the menu). For our main, we both had the lobster tail and our waiter even brought us another ?. Our dessert of choice was baked Alaska.

We went to see the 8:30 performance of Frozen In Time. We sat in the second row (middle) and really enjoyed it.

Before heading back to the room,  we stopped in at the suite lounge for a drink. There were still some guests finishing up dinner in CK but the lounge side was pretty empty.

  9. It was sail away during our dinner in CK last night. We both had the crab cake for our appetizer (delicious). I chose the steak for my main  (from the classics menu - it was pretty good) and my mom had the grilled barramundi. For dessert, mom chose the vacherin (not really what she expected) and I had the strawberry cheesecake.

Our show tonight was Oasis of Dreams at 9:30 pm and we took advantage of the preferred seating. We always enjoy this show.

  10. We are docked in Falmouth, Jamaica today. While I love Jamaica (my hubby and I were married in Negril), we have been here several times and don't need any souvenirs. That's why we decided to stay on the ship.

We went to CK for breakfast around 8:30 and it started to get quite busy after that. I've been watching the morning show and this morning went to the ballot box by Starbucks to submit an answer to the trivia question.

On our way back, we stopped by the Next Cruise desk and ended up booking on Harmony for next March! ? We will be on the same sailing as @Lovetocruise2002 ?.

We decided to go check out the suite sun deck on 17 forward. You access it from deck 16 (near the solarium) and you need to use your room card to open the little gate to go up the stairs. Well we had the whole area to ourselves! We went into one of the cabana areas that overlook the solarium. Nice and quiet! They also have 2 showers to use to cool off.

We just got back from the gym,  which was also pretty much empty.  It was nice not to have to wait for machines.

I am dying a slow death this week with all these CK pics!!!!! I love Braised Beef Gnocchi!  And that Grilled Tofu too!! 220 more days till I can get back to CK!  Way too long!  By the way, in case anyone is wondering, food is subjective but there was no comparison between CK and the Yacht Club on MSC.  CK wins hands down, in flavour, menu variety, and presentation of meals!

I agree with you.  Having been on Seaside also. YC perks were great,  but CK food is better!

  12. Dinner was in CK for our regular time of 6:30. It was quite busy when we got there.  I had the escargot again and mom had the scallop carpaccio (very thinly sliced scallops). For our mains, mom chose the oven roasted cod while I chose the braised beef gnocchi (it was on the appetizer menu but we had this as our main on the Allure and really enjoyed it). I think it's going to be death by chocolate this week, as we both had the chocolate napoleon.

The headliner act was Adam Kario. I did make reservations online,  but being in the CLS we have preferred seating.  When we got into the Opal Theatre, someone was standing with a sign indicating where we could sit. This is a nice perk! Adam was very entertaining and funny. He also had 3 guests get involved in his act.

My periscope of the headliner show:
