  1. I did not sign up because it would be unethical for my medical provider to write a statement that I do not have any underlying conditions. My asthma is very well controlled, but still qualifies as an underlying condition.
  2. My wife and two friends are booked on a 12 night repositioning cruise in April and the Cruise Planner is open for business for them. Looking for prices on same ship - same issue reported by the OP.
  3. I've also been to the Raptor Center but it was back in 2003. My parents are long-time contributors and have taken part in release activities for rehabilitated birds.
  4. My brother and I thoroughly enjoyed a kayak excursion we took in Sitka. Take your time and take in all there is to see. This activity will meet your love of nature and provide a little less of a herd feeling. We saw a mama bear and her cubs, another adult bear, and at least a dozen eagles. One of those eagles swooped down and plucked a salmon out of the water no more than 25 feet away from us.
  5. It's no joke, but Royal Caribbean has not yet announced how they will gather volunteers for the required test cruises.
  6. At least 350 new accounts just to "volunteer" and most are probably wondering why they haven't heard back from Royal Caribbean about their offer to volunteer. "I posted my information. Why haven't they contacted me yet? Do they even check the website?"
  7. Typical day for me: 8-10 bottles of water (or equivalent amount of Vitamin Water from Freestyle machines) 2-3 soda package cups filled with Powerade Zero 2-3 soda package cups filled with diet soda of some sort 5-6 glasses of iced tea at lunch/dinner (it's not great iced tea, but it meets the need) 1-2 cups of coffee (might be more if the coffee on a particular trip is unusually good) 1-2 glasses of juice at breakfast A glass of scotch in either the Suite Lounge or Diamond Lounge A couple glasses of wine with dinner Whatever freebies or near freebies are offered at a liquor tasting, art auction, or Mimosa special in the casino on a sea day
  8. Have to disagree. A complete waste of bandwidth (not unlike Tik-Tok, Instagram, much of Twitter...).
  9. Surely it's time to lock this thing, as it has turned into a parade of the clueless.
  10. Maybe that lead post needs a giant disclaimer in GREAT BIG RED LETTERS to inform them. The other posts in the thread reminding folks that this isn't the place to volunteer surely aren't working.
  11. If you've ever volunteered with Scouting organizations, you know that IS how it works. You pay to register and spend money on uniforms and activities to provide leadership to our young people.
  12. @WAAAYTOOOanswered your questions quite well, but she forgot the most important part! Congratulations on 50 years! You must be doing something right if she's put up with you that long. ?
  13. ROFLMAO at all those who keep creating accounts to "volunteer" even after repeated postings to remind everyone that it's a hypothetical question AND that this isn't where one will go to try to participate.
  14. At the same total cost, I would opt for two cruises. Consider back-to-back on the same ship, especially if the two weeks have different itineraries. It's a great way to do everything on the ship without cramming it all in and missing out on the opportunities to relax.
  15. What happens if a cow doesn't shave? It grows a moo-stache.
  16. Just in time for Halloween Q: What do you get if you divide the circumference of a jack-o-lantern by its diameter? A: Pumpkin pi
  17. Other cruise planner items have also changed for my wife's April trip. Soda package down $1 per person/per day Quite a few excursions dropped 17%.
  18. We sailed out of Baltimore on Grandeur and the seas were disappointingly calm. We enjoy a little rocking motion while we sleep but the water was smooth as glass all the way. Apparently a hurricane in the Gulf sucked all the energy out of the Gulf Stream and didn't give us any wave action to enjoy.
  19. Trying to go into the Cruise Planner while already logged in to account. It takes me to a page asking me to either provide booking number, date, ship, and name or to sign in. If I click on the sign in option, it takes me back to my account page (already signed in). This route is an endless loop. If I instead enter all the information to get to the cruise planner without being signed in, I see a message "Your Booking might be locked; please try again later." Anyone ever seen this?
  20. Depends on what you mean by "driving distance." Anything under 10 hours is a one day drive for me. Anything under 8 hours, total travel time to drive is less than to fly (given the need for connections to get anywhere).
  21. (not intended to be political) Government overreach would seem to be one explanation. The other is partial appeasement of those who oppose the change. You're either clean or required to quarantine. There shouldn't be any in-between.
