  1. Seattle did nothing to enforce boarding times (thus not even entering the building until well past our arrival time), security only had 4 of the potential 10 scanners open (delaying things even worse than the norm for people not having a clue about emptying their pockets despite being told every couple of minutes for the entire time they were weaving through the rat maze), and the check-in agent couldn't operate the technology to process all of our documents that were uploaded AND in hand (she had to be at least 75 years old).
  2. Even that wasn't true in Seattle in May. It took us more than 15 minutes once we reached the check-in person - with everything already loaded and passports in hand.
  3. That's rich! Guess they don't count the time it takes to get from the curb to your initial interaction with a check in agent. On Ovation in May, THAT was only 40 minutes having arrived 10 minutes early for the FIRST assigned check in time. Obviously it got worse as the day went on. They haven't even achieved 15 minutes from starting to work with a check in agent to ship in many cases.
  4. Never said it was $12500 out of pocket. The point is it would take a LONG time to cycle through that much slot play.
  5. So someone who plays only slots would need $12500 worth of play to achieve Prime.
  6. And only when the Casino is open.
  7. Given the proximity of the two places and @Moby Dick's previous comment about the Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood being confused with being in Fort Lauderdale, I'm going to guess that the pictured beach location is also in Hollywood.
  8. I'm fairly sure that the best price guarantee has always been within 48 hours of the original booking. It guarantees that if you find a better price SOMEWHERE else and you have booked directly with Royal (on your own or through a TA), Royal will match that price. Finding a better price through another party after that 48 hours is not guaranteed to be honored. Repricing through Royal is an entirely different process and is not held to any particular timeframe (other than it being more difficult once final payment has been executed). The premise that the OP's TA has been unable to reprice an August cruise booked in May would imply that there has been difficulty with repricing AFTER final payment has been made, which (if true) would be unsurprising.
  9. The four use any time for whatever you want drink vouchers per day is worth far more than the limited-selection happy hour drinks ever were.
  10. Sounds like your TA should be checking this for you, then.
  11. Old folks may still know it as Mt. McKinley.
  12. Don't know this one, but I'd be interested in going. Anywhere that has a statue with ducks has to be a nice place to visit.
  13. That is also the standard for US bookings. We looked at the information when a group of friends were considering a cruise together. We didn't have enough people interested to get to the 8 staterooms minimum so we didn't pursue it further. The one person worth of fare for free spread across 16 or more people helps everybody. On a booking that the most common stateroom costs $800 per person, that would be $50 each. If you're looking at the cost per person, that wouldn't meet your $100 threshold. If you're looking at the total savings across the group, it would. And $50 off per person will buy close to four drinks each (for example).
  14. It is indeed a sculpture in the Chihuly Glass Museum (not out in the gardens, though).
  15. Hampton Inn Miami Airport East also has a shuttle ($12 per person to the pier) but not back. They recommended Uber as the most cost effective option for pier to hotel. Don't know about airport shuttle because we are driving to the hotel and leaving our car there for our two upcoming cruises with a day in between.
  16. My turn
  17. Hard Rock Cafe, Hollywood FL
  18. If the ship was allowing passengers to continue to get into the boarding line after the stated all aboard time, those buses were very likely excursions booked through Royal. Any "on your own" stragglers would have been out of luck if those excursions weren't late getting back.
  19. All aboard time is almost always 30 minutes prior to departure.
  20. The menus posted in the app seem to be accurate for whatever the current sailing happening is. So if the ship is currently on a 9-nighter, the menu for YOUR 5-nighter will appear to have the menu for the 9-nighter.
  21. The percentage off is a percentage off whatever the current onboard "full" price may be. If the "full "price goes up, 50% off the higher price may indeed be more than 30% off the previous "full" price.
  22. They asked. You don't have to comply with the request, especially if it's the only way to get a ticket to ride. Part of the reasoning behind that request may be a concern with trip delays causing passengers to miss their all aboard time if the train ride does not include an official excursion.
  23. Same first ship for us, but not until 1998.
  24. Is disembarking and reboarding at Perfect Day treated just like disembarking and reboarding in other ports? Having never been to CocoCay (first time will be next week), I have been assuming that the island is just an extension of the ship without some of the same requirements.
