Saw them holding children IN FRONT OF open windows, not OUTSIDE OF the open windows. The safety officer needs to be clear in emphasizing that point. Do we know people hold their kids up for a better view? Absolutely. Do we anticipate that people will dangle their children OUT of the window? No, because we expect at least a modicum of common sense.

Royal will certainly allow a rebooking (with the change fee and any difference in cruise fare) for an open spot on the same or another ship.

This is exactly why we planned a large family trip in 2012 to board a couple weeks AFTER our youngest turned 21. The original hope was to schedule with multiple birthdays and an anniversary happening ON the cruise, but that pesky 21st birthday fell on a Wednesday.

If dinner is too much food, paying the higher price for dinner to get a "bigger discount" is the waste of money. The free meal costs the same either way - you already spent the money to get to D+.
