  1. I am assuming those are your Crown & Anchor numbers and the fact that you have a guarantee cabin. No cabin assignment as yet.
  2. Oh God, spent 25 years as a retail manager for Macy’s. Took years for me to stop folding sweater tables!
  3. Me either, nor do I have a Twitter account. No social media presence of any kind.
  4. I’m with you Neesa, I can’t stand leaving a mess for the cabin steward or any housekeeping attendant. I make sure our clothes are put away or in the laundry hamper, shoes are in the closet, used towels in a pile in a corner of the bathroom and our toiletries do not interfere with them cleaning the bathroom. I feel their job is to clean the room not our personal messes.
  5. Not cruising until March, just being obsessive!
  6. Thanks, I think I misunderstood the post before mine ?
  7. Do you think we will need to carry our vax cards on the ship? I, perhaps incorrectly, assumed once on board with our little rubber bracelets, we would leave the actual card in the safe with our passports. Has anyone needed to show it after boarding?
  8. And this is all over and above the $17.50 pppd, correct?
  9. Sadly another reason we will never sail Star Class unless we hit power ball
  10. I am totally undecided. I have used a lanyard in the past (most of my cruise wear do not have pockets) but I feel like I will need my phone. I have a couple of small crossbody bags that I think will have to work but i will still have to pull the card out & in.??
  11. I actually think it’s the other way around. CK will be closed to Pinnacles based on reduced capacity.
  12. There are multiple threads on this subject on the “other” cruise forum.
  13. Our first cruise in May, 2002 on Empress NYC to Bermuda. Chosen at the time because i hated to fly (got over that) and it was outside of hurricane season. Well the trip down was awful! My poor daughter couldn’t even get out of bed except to run to the head. I was not far behind her. So glad when we finally docked for 3 days. The trip back was better but it was a major factor in taking 16 years to try again.
  14. Yup my brother lives there too. Friday it looked like they were getting the brunt of it. Surprise!!! Still hammering rain here but the wind isn’t too bad.
  15. On the west side here in central CT. LOTS OF RAIN!!! Garden is pretty much under water. Thankfully the house sits up on the lot so no water in the basement and we still have power.??
  16. The lobster on the ship will never be better than what you can get at home!
  17. sorry, I sound like more of an expert than I am! I will weigh in on the lobster upcharge. Let me preface this by saying I live in New England. I would not pay for the lobster. I can get a much bigger one locally for way less. If however, you live in an area where lobster is not readily available AND it is indeed cold water lobster AND you are willing to get messy, it’s not an unreasonable charge for lobster in a restaurant.
  18. Oh dang, that’s in the MDR on CK filet night! Excuse me sir, can I get maybe 2-3 of those sent to CK tonight??
  19. You will find the menus pretty much the same fleetwide. I’ve checked at least half a dozen ships/sailings & there really weren’t many differences.
  20. When we took our first cruise in 2002, that’s how WJ was for dinner - buffet appetizers and served entrees.
  21. You always need travel insurance.
