  4. Come on guys, clueless here. What’s SMS texting & how do I do that? I’m not old enough to be this confused (at least not til Wednesday). Checked in my settings & “send as an SMS” is enabled.
  5. We will have 4 Voom packages based on cabin level. I tried turning airplane mode on then reconnected to the house WiFi: I could text my IPhone daughter but not my android son. Will figure it out. Thanks for all the help
  6. Works to another iPhone. Now have to figure out how to text my son’s android. He’ll be the one I have to hunt down! Or I could just look in every bar on the ship
  7. Ok really stupid question . When I put my phone in airplane mode for our flights, I cannot send/receive texts. Is this because I am not connected to WiFi? We will have Voom on our cruise so I connect to the ship’s WiFi, put phone in airplane mode and I can text because I’m on WiFi???
  8. The OBC in my lift & shift transferred . This was back in June of last year. I didn’t even think of it but my TA did.

  10. Really, in our current circumstances, with the fate of cruising hanging on every sailing, you think the Captain is going to make his own decisions on how to apply Covid protocols? Because he wants to be the one hung out to DRY if something goes wrong on his watch?? What kind of koolaid are you drinking????
  11. Maritime law has NOTHING TO DO with the crew enforcing ships protocols and they most certainly do not have to wait until a passenger complains to do so.
  12. Why would you want to cruise like this? Let alone 30 times! You CAN get refunds as soon as protocols for each cruise is announced. You say yourself you would not have booked these cruises had you known the testing requirements so why are you still doing it?

  15. No, if you are using a TA, they do the calling for you. I know of no particular site for price alerts. I usually check every couple of days (although my TA does too). I know what the sale banner advertised when I booked so that is usually an indication though not always.
  16. Maybe it’s not a good time for you to cruise. RC allows you to cancel for a full refund (not FCCs) if you are not comfortable with current protocols or other passengers’ compliance issues. Perhaps you should go that route. BTW my comment was “snooty” which means entitled not “snotty” indicating rude. Still think it applies.
  17. I see nothing wrong about reminding someone to put their mask over their nose in a POLITE AND FRIENDLY MANNER. But OP indicates in both instances an altercation was imminent which leads me to believe not friendly or polite. Registered for the site just to post this review about 6 weeks on board. Sounds fishy or at the very least, entitled to me.

Interesting, our first was a 7 day Bermuda but we were literally docked in Bermuda for 3 days so it didn’t feel like a 7 day cruise, more like a short (very rocky) cruise with a floating hotel in the middle. Then. 5 day out of Tampa which hubby immediately proclaimed too short, a 4 day out of PC with the grandson to see if he’d like it. Well he did and it was WAAAYTOOO (get how I did that?) short. Now it’s a 7 day on Harmony and an 8 day on Explorer for next year. Working my way up!
  19. Not new but before all hell broke loose, I was hoping to go to Cuba and Key West. Small dreams I know but I was really looking forward to those stops.
