  1. See and I missed all the best food I think. We walked to the left, parked our butts at the first likely looking loungers & were opposite a pretty tame buffet area (although the steak sandwiches were darn good). Pretty sure there was better or at least more choices if I had the energy to look around.
  2. I’m glad our next visit to Coco Cay occurs at the beginning of the cruise. In March it was our last day & frankly I was too vacationed out to really explore & enjoy. On our May Harmony cruise, it’s day 2
  3. So book at the now $58 difference and watch for price drops. I would try for more OBC but RC does little to correct their phone reps’ mistakes beyond that.
  4. But the $408 was applied as a payment against the outstanding amount due on your cruise fare yes?
  5. So your cruise fare had been reduced by $408? Trying to make sure I understand. Now the DBP is $516 a difference of $108 and they are giving you $100 in On Board Credits? So their mistake is costing you a net of $8. Is this correct?
  6. And how much is it under today’s sale? Probably $408 again so rebook it today. Not sure, except for yet another example of RC issues, why this won’t work? Did they refund the $408 or are they going to apply it to your purchase?
  7. Check todays non-sale. It’s probably back to what it was 7/30. The sales have not changed much in the past year. Mine has been $78 off sale and $72 on sale since I booked the cruise!
  8. I do this every 8-10 weeks…… at the hairdressers!!
  9. Hi, Pooch here! We were scheduled to travel with my brother & nephew in March. We flew into MCO from CT, they were coming from Cape Cod through Rhode Island. We all had the insurance through RCCL. Day we were scheduled to fly down, all hell broke lose with weather issues up & down the east coast, thunder & lightening in Florida, sleet in the mid Atlantic and snow in New England. We made it down. They traveled to 3 different airports but every rescheduled flight got canceled. No way to make it to the port. He was refunded port fees/taxes/prepaid gratuities and prepaid DBP. Insurance gave him 90% back in the form of 2 FCCs. So as well as missing a great cruise, he was out 10% of their fare plus the cost of insurance. He is using them for Harmony 2.0 in May and was able to take advantage of a promotion in July giving him $100 in OBC for each FCC. So they recouped the lost 10%. Being the WONDERFUL sister I am, we are going on the cruise too! I was not happy with the whole process but felt the end result was pretty fair.
  10. And in theory, MTD should mean you can show up & eat when you want within a reasonable time like a land based restaurant. In reality, you still need to make reservations in advance for each night. MTD just gives you the flexibility to choose a different time each night as opposed to Traditional Dining which locks you into the same time each night. Maybe that’s what they meant all along?
  11. I book MTD reservations as soon as I book the cruise. We like to eat 6:30-7ish and I’ve never failed to get that time frame.
  12. Unfortunately not a beer drinker. I’m SURE I can find a drink, just wondered if there was something I should try.
  13. On one of the ABCs. What does he order? Is there some specialty liquor/drink particular to those islands?
  14. Well it was definitely reported when I sailed in March. I expect this will soon be a MOOT (not mute) point but do you want to be the one standing in front of an overzealous terminal worker? Why, if you have the physical card, would you take even the smallest chance? My card is in my passport holder and will be accompanied by a printed copy of my negative test results and Set Sail Pass. I will fly through the check in process because I have all my ducks in a row. You do you.
  15. And as you have found, experiences may vary. You had your card and didn’t have to show it. Imagine how different your experience would have been if you DIDNT have your card and HAD to show it.
  16. I can’t believe cross packing seems to be a novel idea. I have been doing this for 40 years. When it was us & the 2 kids, the suitcases would be open in the dining room and then it would be one set of clothes for each person in each bag, repeating until everything was packed. Each suitcase then contained 2-3 days of clothes for each person plus a bonus day each in our carry on. For the kids, a full set for each day went into a ziplock bag. No issues with getting dressed in the morning, just pick a ziplock & put it all on. Now I really need to do that for my husband too. Garanimals (remember that brand of kids clothes?) for men. I swear he’s colorblind. You have grey shorts and green shorts left along with matching shirts and yet you try to wear the green print shirt with the grey shorts. Why?!! Just WHY??!!!
  17. The straw market requires cash. Seapass does not work there.
  18. I was able to schedule all 7 nights of MTD for 3 linked reservations without the former PITA of going all the way through check out for each night. Placed it in the cart & checked out once. Don’t know how or why but it was much easier.
  19. Eeewwww. You don’t wash you hands?!?!?!?
  20. We are on Explorer in October & I am on a mission to have one (or 2)!
