  1. And Cats every day and twice on Sunday over Mamma Mia (ugh!)
  2. Ok I sent an email and will try to wait patiently for a reply.
  3. You are my role model! I want to have as many cruises on my posts as you do!! How do you manage so many????
  4. Ok, I am counting on you to keep me off the ledge through all of this and not bug Danette too much!!!
  5. to ask your TA to do a reprice? No idea how much work might be involved. Looks like mine went down another $50. Is that too low to bother her about? I'm "creatively frugal" but I also want to be reasonable about it. Last reprice was $170.
  6. So just walking around is doable? I don't really want an excursion. I just want to browse!
  7. I love sitting out on the balcony with my coffee & breakfast. I could watch the ocean for hours! And it’s a great place to read, so calm & relaxing. I spend a good amount of time out there.
  8. Had an ocean view on Empress almost 20 years ago. Thought it was pretty good. Fast forward to 2018 and we splurged on a GS on Majesty. Then this year we took our grandson on a short 4 day on Mariner. Short cruise, just got a OV balcony. Hubby and I said NEVER AGAIN!! We are totally spoiled. Next up Rhapsody in an Owners Suite. Once you suite, you can never retreat!
  9. I like that the Solarium Cafe has specialty coffees. I like mine with a shot of baileys!! On Majesty it was too much trouble to go down to Cafe Latitudes. But right on the pool deck, my daughter & I will probably drink several each.
  10. Anybody do this? It’s on hubby’s bucket list so I want to sign him up but I am claustrophobic and frankly it scares the crap out of me! Anyone with firsthand experience?
  11. I know but somehow I just can't pull the trigger. It will probably bite me in the A** but this is the 3rd time its dropped to that level. Hoping the trend continues!
  12. Yup it’s a good price but for the 4 of us it comes to $1520. Still having trouble wrapping my head around $1500 worth of drinking for a week ??
  13. My 7n on rhapsody in feb is currently $46 ($54 with gratuities). Really that’s 4 drinks per day, pretty good I think.
  14. If you can’t drink enough to make the package worth it, you don’t have to abstain on your cruise. Pay as you go and drink as you normally would. This will also give you an excellent idea of what you actually spend so you’ll know what your break even point is in the future.
  15. And that was my confusion. When I asked if he had gotten his original FCC back, he said no which made no sense and would have, IMHO, been wrong. But if he got THAT back then RCCL is correct. The 125% applied to new money not to previously issued FCC.
  16. I’m sorry, very new at this but RCCL cancelled your 2019 cruise due to a hurricane, gave you FCC which you used to book a 2020 cruise that RCCL cancelled again & you got nothing??? Wow, I hope you continue to escalate up the RCCL food chain.
  17. So are you not getting a FCC reinstated from the 2019 cruise? And why was that cruise cancelled?
  18. What about flying into a different airport? I fly CT to Orlando couple times a year for never more than $200 RT. BWI is a SWA hub. I’d check it out.
  19. Ok, Danette has taken care of this. Can someone here PLEASE be in charge of making me take chill pills?!?!?! That poor woman is gonna hate me by the time I take the darn cruise. Yes WAAAYTOOO I'm looking at you!!!!
  20. How long before I should start getting nervous? My room category is gone now. There was only one left. Will she still be able to reprice anyway?
  21. Looks like my Feb 2021 cruise went down $140. Have an email request to Danette for repricing. 4 hours, still waiting.
  22. Rhapsody in Feb out of Tampa was $46 ($54 with tip) last week, $61 before tip this week. Didn't pull the trigger - $1520 for the 4 of us. Playing the waiting game for now. I know I can cancel & rebook but just put the cruise deposit down. That's enough for this month!!
  23. Yes, and in the case of the tri-state area, the constant influx of international travelers from, for example, Italy prior to the beginning of screening/banning. My guess is the same can be said for California. North Dakota on the otherhand, probably not so much!
  24. and perhaps being less complacent about preparations for this kind of thing! And I respectfully disagree about comparing this to our "regular flu". There is a significant segment of the population that is already immune to whatever seasonal flu strain comes through and there are already vacines that can be moderately successful in preventing it. No one was immune to this which vastly increased the number of people suseptable to it. Really I think the answer probably lies somewhere between your take and mine. As you suggest, hope we can learn from this!
