You do realize this is a thread from 2018?

Drink package for our Feb 2021 cruise bounces between $61 and $46 with the sale price appearing every 3 weeks or so. There will be 4 adults so $1500 total at the sale price. I am not ready to have that much tied up on a cruise I am uncertain will sail. Waiting and watching.

My current total is $390 saved. I am very thankful first for all of you for teaching me so much about cruising (if you need WDW advice, I am your gal!!) and second to my TAs at MEI Danette and now Emily for putting up with me!!’

Already booked on Rhapsody in an owners suite. Really just hoping we go as planned. I’ve nosed around the Celebrity site, admittedly not much but Celebrity looks much more expensive. Really I appreciate your input but not looking for other ideas at the moment. I will check back with you if my cruise gets cancelled and I can get my deposit back.

We are going to Key West, Cozumel, Costa Maya and Grand Caymans. Hope it goes as planned but will keep your suggestion in mind if it doesn’t. Thanks

Retiring in 6 months. I plan to try them all! I did like sailing out of PC too. Easy and convenient. I am taking baby steps here. We are taking our adult offspring in Feb to celebrate my retirement and I like our ports. Next up will be ABC islands which will have to be a bigger ship? And then a cruisetour to Alaska although I am looking at Princess (shhh don’t tell anyone) for that.

Not that I want it replaced. But I want the itinerary. I like sailing out of Tampa. Edited to add we’ve sailed Empress (MANY years ago) Majesty and most recently Mariner so really have no experience with bigger newer!

Don’t want a bigger newer ship!!! Ok the cruise is a 7 day western Caribbean out of Tampa. If Rhapsody is out, do you think they’d replace the itinerary with a different ship?

Ok what is Rhapsody? Just had my Disney trip blow up because of Governor Numbnuts don’t take my February cruise away too!!!!

Saved $74 today and, thanks to you all, was able to add a military discount a couple of weeks ago that saved another $101. I do have to say I don’t really understand Royal math. The military discount is $504 yet my price only dropped $101??

Oh the Disney boards are exploding over this!!

Just had my hopes of a Disney vacation 9/7 to 9/12 crushed when the Gov of Florida extended the 14 day quarantine on travelers from the Tri-state area (I’m in CT). I am hanging on to our February cruise with my fingernails!!! Please, I need a vacation!!!

Yeah no parents on this trip just 30-40 hormonal teenagers!!

I signed up for the shipmates app but find I see it days before they notify me. I check the Royal site daily.

Cool, because my final payment is due prior to thanksgiving. We are already in an OS so no upgrade possible but maybe OBC.

And can my TA reprice after final payment?

And I think he would have spent even more time on it if the cruise had been longer but it takes him awhile to get used to new things.

He was a natural on it. Told him it was the big belly that gave him such balance, even got to his knees. Unfortunately didn’t make the height requirement for surfing because I think he would have mastered that too.

The chaperones appeared to be mid-twenty something males. The whole thing was bizarre to me. Never in a million years would I have let my daughter go on such a trip. But SA culture is very different. My 10 year old grandson got quite an eyeful!

Just shows how different peoples upbringings can be. PLEASE don’t misunderstand, I am not in any way criticizing here. We grew up in a 5 room apartment. My brother and I slept in the same room til he went to college and even though we moved into my grandmothers house with more bedrooms later, when he came home for a visit he still slept in my room so we could talk all night, didn’t even think about the fact he could sleep in another room now. vacationing with our kids, it would never even have occurred to me to get 2 room. The room slept 4 and that’s how many we were. Our last family trip, daughter was 24 and son was 19, still one room. Yes I am “frugal” but it truly never occurred to me! Taking them both on my retirement celebration cruise in Feb and, you guessed it, one room! Ok it’s an OS but still just one room. Looking back, maybe that extra bathroom would have been nice. Hope you have a great cruise!!

Stop!!!! I’ve been closing my eyes & plugging my ears when you all talk about the larger ships. So far we have happily stayed small (Majesty, Mariner, Rhapsody in Feb). How am I supposed to do that when you show me pictures like that?!?!!
