As happy as this should make me, I imagine RCCL’s agents are instructed to project optimism. I am as anxious as anyone here to get cruising started but one comment to one TA by one agent doesn’t really mean much to me. I will of course keep my fingers crossed.

I know this has been discussed to death but heck, we gotta talk about something! We will be 6 adults - 3 in our mid sixties and not yet ready for walkers ?, 36, 33 and 30. 3 of us have been to Nachi and enjoyed it very much (only maybe 40 people there, almost felt like a private beach). I remember the food being so so and the waiter mildly disinterested but the beach was gorgeous. NC only allows 150 people per day. Looks like Mr Sanchos allows 450??? Is it that much bigger? Not sure anyone is interested in the water park and would prefer not to be overrun by children. Ok go!!!!

There was always chicken in Nonna's sauce, using up all the excess "parts" she didn't use elsewhere. The short ribs were added by my Aunt. We are from the northern adriatic area of Marche which makes me a Marchegian. oh and we use thighs because the one large bone is easy to remove once the sauce is cooked.

Nope, canned tomatoes, tomato paste, onions, salt pork, ground sausage, sausage links, ground pork, hamburg, chicken thighs, short ribs, meatballs, salt, pepper, oregano and basil and if my brother is in town (taking him on his first cruise in March!) it’s 2 pots!

Ok neither of those jarred things are bolognese and ragu is barely sauce. So maybe not. At my house, making sauce is an all day affair and made in a 16 qt stock pot!

So are you saying I should try the spaghetti bolognese????? That’s the sauce my Nonna made and passed down to me. But no pressure.

So does Harmony have a solarium bistro?

Wasn’t for me. I wanted to change my 7 day W Caribbean to a 7 day eastern but my MEI TA was unable to make that happen. I wanted the cruise I already had booked but the opportunity to get an insane deal on an OS on Harmony was too good to pass up. So after the L & S, I rebooked the original cruise! 2 for the price of 1. Ports are different even though both are W Caribbean so it’s all good!

Well first trip is rhapsody but second is Harmony so maybe entrees in that one?

Now I hear you can get entrees in the Solarium?!? Anyone have a menu? I have visions of becoming a permanent fixture there.

My March 21 rhapsody sailing has had the DBP go from $61 to $46 every three weeks almost like clockwork. $61 off sale, couple weeks later $46 on sale. This has been going on for several months. I am in no hurry to give RCCL more of my money until I have more concrete information that we will actually sail.

I have two - roast chicken breast in the MDR on Majesty. The roast chicken in Windjammer is beyond wonderful. I spoke with the manager to complement them on it. You wouldn’t think something as basic as a simply roasted chicken would be hard but as wonderful as it was in WJ, it was God AWFUL in the MDR. I mean inedible. Second was the roast turkey in the MDR on Mariner. There is no way what they served me was ever an actual turkey. I tried to just push it around my plate because my grandson was eating his with no complaints and I didn’t want to discourage his eating. The darn waiter and Maitre’d kept hovering over me asking if I wanted something else. Finally pulled them aside & told them to STOP!!! Then I went to WJ for the aforementioned roast chicken (just as good as in Majesty).

Around the holidays they usually run some type of points threshold bonus ie spend x thousand dollars between November 1st and January 15 and get 4000 bonus points. That is just when I have to pay the balance of the cruise so will be an easy threshold to meet.

Yes I have noticed an uptick in points needed for flights. My $99 each way trips to MCO used to cost right around 5500 points. That is slowly edging closer to 6000. But I use my SWA card for everything and pay it off each month. For August & Sept, they are giving me 5 points per dollar instead of the usually 1 or 2 on grocery & gas purchases so I am loading my freezer and pantry! Additionally, Walmart is listed in Chase's system as a grocery store so anything I buy there also gets the 5 points per. I average 1500 points per month so it adds up fast. Coupled with $600 in LUV vouchers issued because of a flight issue, I have booked 9 RT flights between last Feb and this coming March on points. Gotta love free flights!!

I converted mine. Hubby had $144 worth of travel funds. They gave him 11,262 points. If I were to USE points to book a $144 flight, it would only cost 10,262 so by converting we gained 1200 points.

Yes, I moved my March 2021 on Rhapsody in an owners suite to the same basic itinerary in an owners suite on Harmony March 2022. Harmony is over $5000 more than Rhapsody but I only had to pay $100 difference in port fees. Sweet deal!!

Have you checked YouTube? I am amazed at how many times I have been able to see my exact stateroom there.

Thank you for your help. As I look around, I THINK (and that's always a crapshoot!!) we are going to stay at the Courtyard Marriott West(something) Airport. They provide airport shuttles. My daughter will join us there after work that evening. The next day, she will drive us to the port and my brother & nephew will take an Uber.
