  1. Another option, which is what I'm doing, is to get the non-alcoholic package and pay the alcohol fee (was told typically $5-$7 extra for them so a little discounted) for the drinks you want. (if getting more mixed drinks then beer) I do love my beer but will save that for a local beer at my stops. This way if only one person is getting it your not spending a fortune. This works better for my wife and I as she doesn't drink much and tries not to have too much sugar. I can pay the little extra when I want and enjoy a nice cool mocktail when I want lol.
  2. me too but I will still give my <3 still lol We will need to meet up then. Was hoping someone from here would be onboard lol.
  3. Hey now, I don't discriminate on size lol. The big ships are nice but I wouldn't say no to a small boat ride either. (although living in the Cayman Islands you would think I would be on a boat all the time)
  4. Me too. I scour the internet (really need to come up with a bot for this )
  5. Well as someone who doesn't have kids yet but plan to soon it would be nice to see what they are like from a parents perspective to be honest. We are on the 8 day Freedom on March 3rd from Fort Lauderdale. (just over a month so freaking excited to be back on a boat)
  6. Yes and no. A good TA will have incentives but not all. I normally shop around (and I mean shop around) for the best bang for the buck and personally, I find 90% of the time it's cheaper or get benefits elsewhere.
  7. If you go to ebates and then look up the store it should have the break down (if they are given it.) I think they had a special before with double points.
  8. It had the details on their site. I checked it and the cruise was the highest offer so wonder what an agents kickback really is. But ya, if you go this way be prepared to do most things yourself and you will need to call TA rather than RC.
  9. Paid for mine for this year's cruise a couple days ago and was still old rate. Now I wish I had booked next years cruise before the change.
  10. I bought the non-alcoholic package and plan to pay for the alcohol only for some mixed drinks (if I want them) works out a little cheaper as my wife will by no means come close to the needed break-even point. The deluxe does not seem worth it to me anymore.
  11. So doing 2 makes sense if you have it in dry dock might as well.
  12. Thanks @twangster I will share with my wife and she can decide if its worth it. At least we know you can get it on board since their site stinks.
  13. I did ebates with Travelocity for my next trip and get both money back from the cruise and all my hotels I stay at (I say hotels because we jump around. That's why I like cruises.). This is my first time using ebates but I have used other similar ones but heard better things about ebates and they have better offers so went with them. The only part is the wait after for it (i think its 6 weeks.) Even if I do not get it Travelocity was a better deal for my cruise anyways.
  14. I am sure my wife will be doing, at a minimum the yoga classes (we have what is know as Batabano or Carnival coming in May shes preparing for) so if no one gives an update by then I'll share her experience.
  15. ya, their whole site kept crashing on me all last week. For such a big company that needs tech for everything. They have the worst site ever.
  16. Ya, it's not that she won't use the classes, it's more like how many and what is covered and what isn't. Plan to call myself too maybe they had time to think about it lol. From what twanster, the classes she is interested are probably the cheaper ones anyway. So might just have to wait till on board and either see if they offer it onboard with an explanation or just get the ones she actually wants.
  17. It's the thought that counts. I'm planning to do one on mine too on my cruise in March. I do have an older dslr camera and plan to get a GoPro clone for filming. @twangster what is your good camera? Would like to know for when I have money again (although which is more important another cruise or a new camera. )
  18. Is there a limit on Voom? Also damn I'm hungry now, looking forward to our trip in 39 days :o
  19. I used to be able to travel to Detroit direct from Cayman Islands (where I live) and they were great for the price at the time. I am using Southwest this time as they just started coming here direct from FLL now. It cost me about $200 pp including 2 suitcases each. Now with kids, it might be hard with the way they do the boarding but might be of interest.
  20. I agree. It is a lot less work to replace it all now then to have to do it all over again. It might cost a little now but would save a lot more.
  21. Sounds like @twangster lol (from what I have read so far). @twangster still looking for the Pinnacle one?
  22. Thanks everyone for your input. Ya, I'm on an 8-Day cruise and this was there, so confusing. My wife is interested but not sure if it's even worth it.
  23. So I take it Teamviewer is probably on the blocked list. I normally use this to control my office computer. Is there any easy option to use, or am I going to need to buy a router to configure?
  24. My wife isn't even positive if she enjoys cruising and I'm already trying to book our next one. My next one is only number 3 but RCCL hooked me on number 1.
