  1. Gotcha. Good to know. The ability to switch has always been a nice feature of GTY’s. Not concerned about the view as we book interiors, lol. We’re not picky and don’t care a ton about our cabin, mostly just wouldn’t want to be on deck 2/3 so it’s worth it to save the $ to us.
  2. How recently is this? My TA changed my GTY after it was officially assigned a few weeks ago. In the middle of that cruise right now.
  3. This… on one right now. TAD is tomorrow. Had a rain-shortened 1st stop there. Forecast for the next one looks much better.
  4. For anyone interested/concerned, as expected, no issues whatsoever at the port. They only look for name, date of test, & “negative.” Got to PC around 10am with a 10:30 check-in time & sitting in the terminal in less than 15 minutes.
  5. Nothing special about emed compared to on-point or rapidtestandtrace except that RC’s site sends you their way.
  6. I try anything and everything if it's included, lol. Don't discriminate.
  7. Many times. It wasn't as good as I remembered on Harmony about 6 weeks ago but still tasty.
  8. I believe it's 2 days before. I can no longer buy things for my Friday cruise but pretty sure I could yesterday.
  9. Order multiple items for any course you want (or all 3 courses). I or members of my traveling party have done this many times and the servers have always been happy to oblige! Only other food tip is to take a quick trip through the Windjammer (buffet) if you like to try different stuff or eat a lot or both (like I do) even if you're eating in the MDR. The offerings change nightly and you never know when you might stumble upon something you find especially appealing. If nothing looks special, move on.
  10. I have zero reason to believe there will be any issues at the port given how many reports I have read about others having already used them coupled with my personal experience of how little scrutiny was given to my last test (from Walgreens) on 5/29. I can't promise I'll update after I board on Friday but you can assume that everything went smoothly if you don't hear from me.
  11. Wife and I took our tests this morning and it could not have gone more smoothly. Before scheduling, I asked via live chat if we could both get monitored at the same time by one proctor even though you have to schedule two separate appointments. I was told absolutely, just let the proctor know. We did and it went just as I was told. Prior to the appointment, they sent numerous reminders via e-mail and text with a link to the Microsoft Teams meeting. You don't have to download Teams if you don't want to though, simply click on "open in browser" after clicking the provided link. We used free iHealth rapid antigen tests provided by the government (from our stockpile) but they will let you use any FDA approved test. Our proctor (a registered nurse) was very friendly and professional. She double checked all our information and made sure to ask if we had any questions throughout the process. She also stayed online while she sent the PDF results via e-mail and had us go over the info to ensure it was all correct before ending the session. Cost was $20 per person. Just wanted to share my experience. I'm not trying to convince anyone to use this service. Everyone should use whatever testing method they feel comfortable with. 12. There are more monkeys than humans living on St Kitts & they are not shy, lol. I was at a beach bar with plenty of monkeys around. Wouldn’t have shocked me if they grabbed an unattended beer bottle.
  13. I got that. The fact that they use two separate terminals alleviates any issue. Separate garages, separate buildings, etc.
  14. The peak is sometime in early-mid September I think but it's actually 6 months long.
  15. This is correct. Mariner now exclusively uses terminal 5. Harmony and Indy use terminal 1 (and obviously never sail/arrive on the same day).
  16. Yes, you can use 3rd party sites like OnPoint or RapidTestAndTrace with free tests you may have lying around.
  17. Yes, it's possible. No downside to trying.
  18. It's common knowledge that there is covid on every ship sailing. For multiple reasons, it's impossible to prevent entirely.
  19. Calling first thing seems to work well but my wife has gotten extremely fast responses via FB messenger as you said.
  20. Go to their websites and check. RT&T has a mock calendar for checking availability that goes pretty far out. Not as familiar with OnPoint b/c I chose RT&T.
  21. Once I tested negative I didn't care anymore. It's very quick and easy at the port as you said. They just want to see your name, date of test, and "negative." Waiting to be tested is the stressful part. Even if you feel 100% healthy you never know until the test pops negative.
