  1. Yea, I agree, I booked Star class on Oasis for January of 2021.
  2. This getting scary, Nov. 9th, but no birthday cruise for me, going on Harmony in October.
  3. If you do a mock booking, go to Royal Suite class, you should be presented with a list of rooms available for the sailing, IE Crown Loft suite, Owners Suite, etc., then click on "View Details", it will open up an expanded window, it should say either Sea, Sky or Star about midway down the page with what is included with each class. As @AshleyDillo says, only Star class gets you everything and those rooms are limited on each ship, again only Oasis and Quantum class ships offer Star Class. That I know of no Oasis or Quantum class ship sails to the Southern Caribbean. Usually Eastern and Western or catch one in the Mediterranean or a Transatlantic or Transpacific cruise. There is a Quantum class now in Alaska.
  4. Two different directions: 1. Give the room a attendant a $50 tip and see if service improves (This is a joke) 2. Ask to speak directly with the Hotel Director/Officer I don't think MEI can help at this point.
  5. I think the Corporate answer is that they are focusing where they have the strongest foot hold, Caribbean, Mediterranean, Alaska and Asia. My personal opinion is that Carnival has just a strong hold on the West coast that it would be hard for Royal to negotiate port rates and port stops for a cruise. I'm sure they constantly run the numbers. At one time several years ago, it was they didn't want to go to the Pacific Mexican ports because of all of the drug cartel violence.
  6. I think the balcony makes the cruise IMO, other here will probably disagree, a lot of it depends on your perception of the price of the room. Every room has 2 beds as standard, they make them in to 1 bed for a couple.
  7. Like you say either a charter or a web site glitch, as @Dawn T. says, it is almost sold out, but $3100 is excessive
  8. This usually what is discounted the most on Black Friday, not cruises themselves. I re-price non-refundable multiple times a year, as long as you are not changing the ship or sale date there is never an issues, it's like @Skid says, it's just a reprice. I buy up to 2 years in advance if I can, that way I get the best possible cabin selection, even then some of the higher categories are sold out already.
  9. June 12, 7 night, $1020pp July 6, 4 night, $749pp July 19, 7 night, $969pp
  10. Yes, a printed sheet that shows what the benefits are.
  11. It's up stairs, second level of a building, great views and nice breeze blowing to keep you cool.
  12. I prefer the Southern islands but out of Florida I think those are longer than 7, I might be wrong. I've been on the eastern so many times they don't excite me as much. When I sail the Southern islands I go out of San Juan and they are 7 day, I have a B2B in 2020 with 2 different itineraries.
  13. I'm right there with you, Galveston is my only "Drivable" port and it is still a 9 hour drive, plan is to take Grandson #2 on Liberty in 2021 assuming she is still home ported in Galveston, Grandson #1 warned me Grandson #2 couldn't go on Oasis because Grandson #1 "only" got to go on Liberty in 2018, sibling rivalry, got to love it.
  14. This is what I'm seeing also. At some time in the future she may go someplace else, one rumor is Galveston, but I think we are all going to have to wait until Oasis 5 comes out and her home port is announced.
  15. What is the exact date of you cruise? Everything for December of 2019 is showing Miami?
  16. Other than what @WAAAYTOOO posted in another thread about the Iberostar, the Iberostar looks a little closer than the Hilton on Google Maps. We went down to the Hyatt Ziva and were blown away by the quality of this property. Here is Hilton Rose Hall from resortforaday.com
  17. I would be concerned at walking in certain area of a lot of the major US cities before I would be concerned about Nassau. This is a picture of the main street.
  18. Have 1 lined up in 2020 and then again in 2021, can't wait.
  19. Grand Cayman, go to the 7 Mile beach as recommended by @RichBuckeye , perfectly safe. Jamaica, go to "resortforaday.com", look at Hyatt Ziva, took my Grandson there last year and he said it was the best stop of the whole trip, we were also on Liberty, same itinerary. This was very safe and organized and back in plenty of time before the ship all aboard. Either stay in the port or go on a group excursion. Cozumel, Nachi Cocom or Mr. Sancho's, both limit the number of people, Nachi is more laid back, relaxation, Mr. Sanchos has more toys for the kids. Food edge goes to Nachi IMO. Cozumel is 100% safe, taxi's are perfectly safe and plentiful, as others have mentioned $17-20 taxi ride (For 2 people) to Nachi, 15-20 minute ride. At Nachi you will have your own dedicated server, if you tell them what time you want to leave to go back to the ship they will have a taxi waiting for you, assuming there are not several just waiting anyway.
  20. If you booked through Royal call them and tell them what you want, as long as you are not changing the sail date, they should change cabin types for you. If you booked through a travel agent have them do it for you.
  21. If you booked directly with RCCL just call them and tell them you want to Prepay gratuities and they will add them to your cruise. Make sure and tell them to email you a new cruise document. If you booked through a travel agent contact them and tell them that you want to prepay gratuities and they will get them added. I don't recall seeing gratuities in the cruise planner.
  22. My wife and I have never had any issues in Nassau, one of my favorite restaurants in the Caribbean is there.
  23. With Navigator being AMPED, it has new dinning venues, so to me it would be worth it, but I pretty much buy the dinning package for every cruise.
