Are you using TMO?  I'm not an iPhone user but I read recently that the latest version of iOS introduced a WiFi calling bug primarily affecting TMO customers (though perhaps some others in certain circumstances).

I am not really sure. There are times when I go to my settings and under “Royal WiFi” it says in orange letters: no internet connection. The whole ship has a complete dead zone for all phones: the Schooner Bar. I just did a search for the terms of Zoom but they told me it is reported in the terms. They tried resetting all of my settings and it did not work.

    Definitely the way to go

Surprised to hear that you encountered those issues on Anthem. I've had nothing but exemplary Voom service on Anthem

I was surprised too. The rest of my family did not download the last iOS update and they have not had as many issues as I have.

I believe it's an artifact to allow notification to work on the RoyalIQ app.  iMessage uses the same ports so it piggy backs on notifications for RoyalIQ.  Any texting feature is somewhat useless without notifications because you would need to have the app open and the phone unlocked to see that someone sent you a text within the RoyalIQ app.  I believe this is why the promised texting feature for the new app has been delayed and possibly scrapped all together.  They haven't said much about the texting feature since the initial tech announcement for the new app.

I tried to work with the Zoom technician to connect my iPhone this week. Text messages seem to work but everything else is a challenge. My iPhone and iPad are running the latest iOS and Zoom does not work with it on a consistent basis. They said it was in the “terms and conditions”.

  4. Today is our scheduled Nassau day. We booked a brewery tour. We really enjoyed the tour. I don’t know how to post text between photos? Our tour guide was Jamie. There were only five of us on the tour since there in the group were sick on the boat. This is a walking tour and at each stop we were to sample three beers. I believe they were 4 oz pours, but at the middle stop we needed to drink all of the beer so there were refills.

The first stop was here and was accompanied by conch fritters.

I don't think the food will be cold, rather, they want to close down the restaurant sooner and there is an issue between the actual hours of Wonderland and what the website listed.

They won't precook your food, if that's your concern.

I tried posting earlier but it does not look like it worked. We rushed and made it- hot, slightly dehydrated , and tired at the earlier time. We were the last table seated for the night. They sat us next to a couple we know. They were just finishing their meal. They told us that the waiters bring everything except the entrees. For the entrees you pick what you want. They told us they had the pork belly and it was amazing. When we ate we did not get any choice in any of the meal. It was very good, but we were brought entrees that did not include the pork belly. I am not going to be critical about any of the entrees. I am just wondering. In other’s experience- did you pick your entree? Was our friend’s experience unusual or ours?

  6. This morning we did the escape room. It was a very large group but we enjoyed the experience . Yesterday we did a “Royal Mystery” by puzzle break. It was a nice activity but since so many activities were shit down with the weather it may have been too large a group. The group we were with would have needed another hour to solve the mystery.

There was another thread regarding excursions to Universal/Disney. I toolookef for info in the excursion and Inwanted to follow up on that. The Sea World, Disney and Universal groups met in the Royal Theater at noon. We then loaded the buses around 12:30 and left the port at 12:43. We arrive at Universal around 1:45. I am an AP holder so I had a list of things I wanted to do. We are at Toothsome’s, rode The Mummy, Rip Ride Rocket, Spider-Man, and attended the soft opening of the Fast and the Furious. We did make a mistake and entered Fobideen Journey with a posted 35 time right before 6:00. At 6:50 when we realized the line was at least 10 more minutes before we loaded the attraction we asked to leave through an exit. We made it to the bus by 7:17 and left the parking lot at 7:20.

  7. I am hoping for information and advice. Right before we left our room on the Anthem this morning we received a phone call. I made a reservation for Wonderland. It is at 9:30 tonight. On my planner it shows as 9:30-11:30. I prebooked and prepaid. They called me as we were leaving and asked if we could get there by 9:00. I explained I we were going to be on an excursion that may not return until 9:00. They told me that the kitchen was closing at 9:15 and I had to order by then. I hate, hate, did I say hate (?), cold food. Do I have to worry? Advice?

  8. I had to abandon my photos for now as they won’t post? A few random things:

i wanted to do the escape room ( I have just returned from it) and I was able to book it from the Royal IQ app while we were in the Windjammer on day 1.

I was concerned that I am scheduled to return from Universal around 8:30 today and that return time is after my 8:15 dining time. Our waiter told us if we wanted to, we could arrive late and he would make sure we ate. Of course he told us that as he was bringing us two extra entrees and two extra desserts for the table so that we could try everything (he just tends to do this? I may explode). We have been very happy with the food in the main dining room. The first night the food was a little cold, but last night it was warm. We went to the Grand for lunch yesterday and it was very good.

We have been traveling through very rough seas. Luckily none of us are sea sick. The gift was cancelled last night but a replacement show was scheduled.

Question: I have voom, but it really is spinning, dropping completely at times and just seems to be a poor signal. Is this unusual? Ideas?

I have returned to the thread and added everything but the 6 appetizers that was on our table last night. The duck was x2. There are three of us.

  9. I have never created a thread and this is day 3, but I did want to share some of the pieces of my cruise. We boarded Antgem of the Seas on Saturday. From the time we arrived to drop off our luggage at 11:15, to the time we stepped on the Anthem it was just under 30 minutes. I think we just lucked out? We were stopped as we entered the terminal. There was a station where they checked our documents, re-took one photo and stamped our set sail passes. We then were able to walk right through the “stamped” security check point. After hearing about the lines in the Windjammer, we headed straight there. First timers and we even found a table right away! We had a chance to explore the ship before our stateroom was ready.

i am posting from my iPad and iPhone so photos may be not great (I am not a skilled photographer), and the zoom has been very challenging. It may be due to the weather conditions.

it seems I can post photos while on a bus in Florida, but not on the ship.

Thank you everyone! Do the passes have a way to connect the lanyard to them? Or is that a simple ask of guest relations who can punch a hole in them for us?

I know you are a “Disney person” but have you ever been to a Universal? At Universal I wear a lanyard that has a clear plastic pouch. My TA sent me some of these for my Sea pass.

RCCL Help not helpful at all with regards to the new website platform.  I am missing past cruises and was informed that it should be updated in 24 hours.  Still waiting and not only that, even my C&A registration number is not recognised.  Is anyone having the same problem as me?  So frustrating!!

I have contacted them multiple times since March 9(?).  On Monday they sent me an email that my account is fixed. They did finally link my C&A but my cruise next week cannot be linked. I can link through the cruise planner. I am sure there are lots of us still having issues.
