Improved Connectivity to the Internet Via the App
Matt replied to F1guynz's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I used the same thing while on Utopia this past weekend. This feature was first developed for Icon of the Seas, and it's a great update! -
Considering Wonder of the Seas (Thoughts?)
Matt replied to CNA Jacksonville's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I loved Wonder of the Seas. Here's my review: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2025/01/08/review-royal-caribbean-wonder-of-the-seas-cruise-ship -
It might be cold the first day and the last day, but I always thought it was worth it not to have to fly (assuming you live close enough to drive)

You don't have to upload a photo, but you really should: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2023/12/12/extra-step-board-cruise-ship-fastest

Welcome to the message boards! Truthfully, do not buy walkie talkies. They're annoying to other people, and they dont work that well given the metal of the ship and interference from ship systems. First, did you know the Royal Caribbean app has a free chat feature? If you have kids that are under 13, just sign them in under your account too and essentially "message yourself". You could alternatively buy a wifi package for all of you, and then you can use a messaging app, and be able to use the internet on top of it!

This is the one I always use now. One A/C outlet and a bunch of USB outlets https://amzn.to/42UnLk6

December 2025 has been the date Royal has publicly advertised, and was even mentioned again during the company's earnings call with Wall Street the other week.

Because they haven't been released yet. Royal is in the process of posting new 2026-2027 sailings in the coming weeks https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2025/02/10/new-royal-caribbean-cruises-will-launch-week

I believe the issue with having two plans is both coverages will fight who has to actually pay. Meaning, if you had a claim situation, you might end up in a dispute between which provider should pay out first

Sale in Cruise Planner until 20th of March
Matt replied to Tashaaa's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
There are sales every few weeks. Any one sale could be good, it all depends on their pricing algorithm. There isn't necessarily one sale or date we can all point to say and say this sale will save you money. Just gotta keep checking -

Welcome to the message boards. You can ask the staff about aging your 12 year old up. It's up to the crew in the teen club, so the answer could very well be no. They do it all on a per-case basis.

Travel cough is not uncommon. These illnesses—mostly mild viral infections—happen for a variety of reasons, including a weakened immune system, traveling between different climates, poor hygiene and air travel. More than likely, you'll all feel fine in a few days.

Could it have happened? Sure. I didn't see the TikTok in question, but the glass doors are often intentionally left open during the day for convenience. They are closed at night. Having been in many suite lounges across many ships, the issue of people sneaking in has been pretty minimal.

The place to put that kind of feedback is in your post cruise survey in the general comments

I'd say zero. Royal Caribbean doesn't see a market, or rather, they can make more money with a ship in the Caribbean in winter than a ship in Southampton for the winter. That's essentially how they look at any market.

June or July isn't the peak of hurricane season. Mid-august through mid-October is the peak. I cruise every year in hurricane season. If there's a storm, your ship will go somewhere else

Will cruises to Canada be affected?
Matt replied to RCIfan1912's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Just a reminder, no politics here please. Your posts will be deleted if you do, so keep it to cruising. Thank you. -
Gigsky eSim vs VOOM, Western Caribbean
Matt replied to LA11235's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
For internet on the ship, Voom is easier and works well -
No one knows at this point

They won't and it's why I never brought a car seat with us when my kids were that young. It's just not worth the hassle/bulk
