  1. To some degree I agree, but go on Mariner and then Oasis (pre-starlink) and tell me that's still not the satellite provider. Mariner's internet must be run off an old Soviet satellite from the space station Mir.
  2. Royal throttles the speed, but the latency is wonderful!
  3. More info on not allowing downlining anymore https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2021/12/15/royal-caribbean-will-no-longer-let-passengers-get-or-the-cruise-ship-different-port-of
  4. Look at a past Cruise Compass and you can find out: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/cruise-compass?ship=274
  5. ARE THERE ANY FEES FOR YOUR SERVICES INCLUDING CANCELLING A CRUISE? Do I work with the same agent all the time, or is it round robin? What should I expect realistically in terms of turn around time on questions Do you (the agent you're working with) specialize in cruises? Have you been on Royal Caribbean? If I spy a lower price, will you reprice?
  6. I have not sailed with HAL, but the one thing I've always heard is after dinner, HAL ships tend to be dead as everyone goes to bed, whereas Royal Caribbean has a nightlife scene. In terms of Alaska, you're going to the same ports. It may come down to what each line offers onboard their ship, especially on sea days and/or in the evening.
  7. Piggybacking on what @Sharla said, you can still reprice the cruise up to final payment date. The Covid Best Price Guarantee allowed reprices after final payment date.
  8. If you're flexible, first two weeks of December have usually really cheap last minute deals. Since everyone would have just had time off for Thanksgiving and has time off for Christmas, these inbetween weeks tend to have very little demand.
  9. Okay, I promised Royal Caribbean I wouldn't say anything but...... There's no plans to sail from Colorado.
  10. You can view photos of it here: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2017/02/28/review-royal-caribbeans-private-journeys-shore-excursion-curacao
  11. There's an Odyssey of the Seas live blog happening right now: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/category/category/odyssey-of-the-seas-live-blog
  12. It depends on the person. Every crew member is on their own contract and schedule.
  13. Welcome to the message boards! You're talking about the same difference. If you buy an unlimited drink package, internet package, or dining package, it's good for every day of your cruise, including embarkation and disembarkation day. The most likely scenario are souvenir cups/glasses. Those are not included. I'm not a fan, but if you're not in a suite and it's nominally more, I think there are worst ways to spend your money on a cruise. Our latest Key review: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2022/10/06/i-tried-the-key-again-see-if-its-worth-it Yes, dress codes are suggestions on Royal Caribbean. There is no fashion police to enforce anything. So if you're in the ballpark of dress code, that's totally fine.
  14. Thank you so much! I really appreciate your support, thank you!
  15. Likely end of November/Early December and the rest in Spring around April or so.
  16. And the media doesnt even allude to the fact there are people on airplanes with Covid. They act like covid is only on cruise ships
  17. I wait for @AshleyDillo to tell me there's a better price
