  1. Don't hate it, but not my favorite either. As @Jerel pointed out the other day, these names tend to grow on you over time.
  2. Not everything in the Cruise Planner is necessarily on sale as a result of this new sale. Usually it's only select items. You'd have to log in regularly to know the price difference, similar to how if you go to the Gap, they don't tell you if the sale price today is better than the price for jeans last week. I think it's simpler. I hate when I go to a store and it has a sign "Take 50% off the lowest ticketed price". No math!
  3. Thanks, removed that bit from the blog post
  4. Back in the day, half the time I'd get my wine opened without a corkage fee. I always felt like I was making out like a bandit when that happened
  5. Welcome! You may find this blog post helpful: Royal Caribbean itinerary recommendations for first-time cruisers
  6. Out of curiosity, how much did this cost?
  7. I remember that issue too, and I agree with your suggestion.
  8. Pretty much everywhere in Caribbean takes US Dollars. I've never had to exchange money. Occasionally I will get change back in local currency.
  9. Very strict. Don't do it.
  10. Yes. If they have a blender and the ingredients, they will make it for you.
  11. New sale begins today https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2017/06/29/royal-caribbean-offering-30-cruise-planner-purchases-fourth-of-july-pre-cruise
  12. It varies. Seems to have gotten cheaper recently, but it's usually around +/- $100. On my Harmony cruise, it's at $119.
  13. Here's an overview (with lots of photos) of Nellie's Beach cabanas: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2016/04/11/nellies-beach-cabanas-royal-caribbeans-labadee Also more photos: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2016/09/21/photo-tour-of-the-beach-cabanas-nellies-beach-labadee
  14. No it does not. There is, however, dry cleaning available
  15. Thanks for the photos of Playa Mia! The idea of pool snorkeling is pretty cool. I think my oldest daughter would love trying it
  16. Check out this blog post about how to stay in touch while onboard a Royal Caribbean cruise.
  17. Brian is right. Just book for 1 person.
  18. Interesting, so you were able to leverage the AmEx platinum card benefits without using their TA?
  19. There are some good options that don't involve the beach in Nassau. You should listen to a podcast episode all about what to do in Nassau: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/podcast/episode-127-shore-excursions-nassau The food tour sounded particularly interesting.
  20. From what I understand, you can reserve your rental tuxedo up until 5 days before your cruise. After that you just have to take your chances with what they have on the ship.
  21. Labadoozie is better!
  22. Sabor will cater to your taste. Just speak with your waiter about how you like your food.
  23. You're right. RC contests are few and far between, but the ones they have run as of late have been social media based.
  24. They really like you, Brian
