  1. Update: I checked the residents of Tot Town demand the return of their mayor, @Lovetocruise2002
  2. @jbrinkm Thank you! We'll get it fixed so you can use mobile version.
  3. Best Fort Lauderdale hotels near the cruise port: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2023/03/21/best-fort-lauderdale-hotels-near-cruise-port
  4. For those on MOBILE devices, can you post a screenshot? There should not be the video ad in the corner like @WAYNO has. We have been unable to replicate the issue on mobile. So if you’re on your phone and get it, please share a screenshot and which device you’re using. Again, phones only. As for the ads, in general, it’s a necessary evil. Pretty much every site has it, and I’d bet you our set up is better than any local news site you visit these days. We do try to keep it unobtrusive, especially for the message boards. The ads pay for pretty much everything we do on this site. The research to keep our team on ships and reporting on what’s new and different is all funded by it. I really appreciate all of your patronage and support. So many of you have been on this site for years, and it’s incredible! THANK YOU!
  5. Me walking around Miami later tonight in case @Lovetocruise2002 is somewhere around
  6. I agree with @smokeybandit. Stay at a hotel near the airport and take a Lyft to the port in the morning.
  7. Looking into the issues with mobile on the boards
  8. Uber has a Car Seat option in some cities (New York is one), but it's pretty limited. If they did have it, it would appear as an option from the various Uber ride types available. Not sure how old your kid is, but this car seat was something we used for our kids: https://amzn.to/3HxNQJR (Affiliate link)
  9. Check out our Alaska guide here: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/alaska-cruises
  10. Are you looking to make an individual restaurant reservation? Or buy a dining package and make dining reservations?
  11. I have Cricket (subsidiary of AT&T) and it works quite well with Voom. The AT&T store guys wouldn't know anything about the on ship experience, right @mpoole3
  12. I don't recall seeing that, but you can always refer to a past Cruise Compass to see if there's anything mentioned: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/cruise-compass
  13. Sabrina has been let out? I do not like carpet baggers rolling into Suite 17! On the plus side, I do appreciate @Lovetocruise2002 is now significantly closer to the Windjammer
  14. I think you might be underestimating the redundant safety measures of Crown's Edge and the company's general risk assessment. Nothing is perfect, so I'm not debating that there's a chance, but I think accidental deaths resulting from dumb decisions as opposed to a regulated harness system are not anywhere the same.
  15. That's correct. A new cast replaces them. In the months leading up to a contract ending, there's already a new cast training in Miami. Then in the last week or two the new cast joins the ship to observe, and then they hand it off.
  16. It kind of depends on the cabana host. Some hosts will just attribute whatever drinks consumed to whoever had a drink package and look the other way who actually drank them. Others may just simply divide it all equally. I have yet to see a consistent approach (unless no one has a drink package, then they'll ask who to charge drinks to).
  17. I suspect shoreside refers to the casino host that works at headquarters.
  18. There isn't a general answer. Every new ship is different because of various factors (supply chain, acts of God, etc). It's impossible to provide any kind of guarantee or prediction this far in advance.
  19. It would be primarily a repeat in terms of dining menus and entertainment.
  20. That's consistent with that Royal has hinted at: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2024/01/05/royal-caribbean-ceo-new-smaller-cruise-ship-could-be-announced-2024
  21. Harmony from Galveston is a good value, but yes, it's an hour drive from Houston to Galveston. It used to be a bigger problem, but with Lyft/Uber it's far easier now.
  22. A live blog with @Lovetocruise2002 started more than 3 weeks before the cruise? Sounds about right
  23. I will be surprised if they have them, but not sure yet.
  24. As usual, @SpeedNoodles is correct. There are definitely safes in the Icon cabins. I saw one with my own eyes, but it's definitely in a different location.
