  1. I had the bartender on Independence try to make this drink. They have the everything but jelly, but subbed in strawberry mix instead. Not too shabby!
  2. Welcome to the message boards! Yes, your app will still work on the ship. When you get onboard, turn your phone into airplane mode. Then connect to the ship's wifi and select the option "Using the app" and you can use the Royal Caribbean app onboard for free.
  3. Can anyone get these? Or you have to have already gotten the offer?
  4. First and foremost, despite what you read and see, meteorologists really have no idea what will happen. So making changes more than a few days in advance is actually a mistake. Cross that bridge when they need to kind of situation. Second, maps are quite deceiving because while these storms are big, ships can evade the worst of any storm with a few adjustments (i.e. hugging the coast more or taking a longer route to get to a place and bypass the path of the storm)
  5. Yes, there will be some extras thrown in for the game. Here's an example from 2022: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2022/02/14/brilliance-of-the-seas-live-blog-day-4-super-bowl-sunday
  6. I avoid all the sales on the Promenade, and talked about why in my latest video
  7. Possibly, but my advice is to make plans on your own instead. Many tours are easily booked through third parties if you search for that tour online.
  8. I've occasionally seen a mah jongg game listed in the Cruise Compass, but there's no guarantee it will be there for your sailing. Unfortunately, there's no way to know definitively if it will be offered, so my best advice is to bring your own to ensure you can play.
  9. Thanks for sharing your experience @rjac. Sorry it happened to you, but sounds like you made the best of it. And that 100% FCC will be mighty sweet when you cash it in.
  10. The cruise line did lift it, but the website verbiage hasn't been updated yet
  11. Welcome to the message boards! There's a few blog posts about cruising solo that should be helpful: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2020/05/28/solo-cruises-royal-caribbean https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2022/01/29/what-i-learned-my-first-solo-cruise https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2018/01/12/top-10-tips-going-royal-caribbean-cruise-solo

  14. Welcome to the message boards! Have you listened to Episode 464 of the Royal Caribbean Blog Podcast which is about how AJ cruises while blind? https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/podcast/episode-464-cruising-while-blind
  15. Si reservaste el crucero con Royal Caribbean, debes contactarlos. Si reservó con un sitio web o un agente de viajes, comuníquese con ellos.
  16. First, they'd have to place an order for a new ship. This is complicated by their debt situation. As an example, when RCG restructured some of their loans in 2020, there was a stipulation they could not take certain actions, such as "Issuance of debt or equity other than for liquidity". So financing a new ship may be an example of what they can't do. Granted, I have no idea if that restructured deal is now settled, but wanted to provide an example of how their existing loans could impact their ability to place new ship orders.
