These changes are going to roll out with 2025-2026 deployment. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2023/10/18/royal-caribbean-recategorizes-cruise-ship-cabins

Your friends' experience not withstanding, I don't know if it's supposed to show prebooked things in the app until you get onboard. As long as you see it in your order history on the website, you're good.

Symphony of the Seas, bed by balcony or door?
Matt replied to Marway's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
What you want to do is find another cabin on deck 11 on the same side as 11708 and then look at a deck plan and count every other cabin to figure out the configuration. -

Yes, that's profanity. It's against the rules. There's many other descriptive words you can use -

Rhapsody assisting in US Citizen evacuations...
Matt replied to ScottD's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
I believe there are avenues for government to ask for assistance because they see which assets are in the area. In some cases, I believe the offer is made by the cruise line in case it's needed, as was the case with the Surfside condo collapse in 2021. -
Can you be more specific exactly what they mean? It's not heard of pre- or post-pandemic for DL access to be restricted when there are too many top tier members onboard. Not that it bothers me at all, since I'd much rather go to almost any other bar for my drinks.

Why does it cost so much to bring an infant on a cruise
Matt replied to John weaver's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
The cruise industry is built around the concept of double occupancy, regardless of age. Add a second adult to the room and have your infant be the third guest in the room and you'll see the price for your infant plummet. -
Regarding the issue with Diamonds on Wonder, that cruise is a casino signature level cruise, so it's just a one-off as best we can tell due to the unique nature of that sailing.

Next Cruise Discount on Booking Celebrity Cruise?
Matt replied to Maggie M's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I think it is possible, although not well advertised -
As long as you are not past final payment and a resident of countries that allow price changes (US or Canada, not UK)

Any onboard credit you get is a credit against your onboard spend you've already made. So if you charged beverage package, internet and spa treatments and have gratuities going there, Royal will deduct any OBC you have first and then at the end of the cruise you'll be charged the remainder balance.

I agree with @Ryan79. We're not here to give financial investment advice, but I would not recommend buying stock purely for onboard credit. You should buy stock because you think it's a good long-term financial investment.

The other component to this conversation is what constitutes a "good price" or "deal". I'm certain we all have different definitions and expectations for what that looks like. Or as once was famously said, "I know it when I see it…"
