A grandmother was caught with a loaded gun while on a Royal Caribbean Cruise and was jailed in a prison in The Bahamas.

She claims she "accidentally" forgot to leave the gun in her car before the cruise.

She was arrested when trying to reboard Liberty of the Seas while docked in Nassau, Bahamas. The Royal Bahamas Police Force boarded the ship and arrested her for possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Unruly passenger punches cruise ship crew member: video

A guest punched a crew member in the face after some kind of a disagreement, and it was captured on video.

The incident took place on Icon of the Seas at its waterpark.

The man yelled and argued with a crew member before he punched him and then quickly left.

How honest should you be with Royal Caribbean's post-cruise survey?

One question on Royal Caribbean's post-cruise survey has a lot of passengers confused as to how they should really answer it.

The survey is an important tool for evaluating how well each ship, department, and service is onboard.  The cruise line takes it very seriously because feedback can alter policies and promotions.

A number of Royal Caribbean cruise ships closed their waterslides at the same time.

It's not unusual for any ship to conduct maintenance, but having a few ships with closed slides at the same time is interesting timing.

Moreover, the work being done is the same on each: replacing see-through parts of the slide with new sections.

Reports claim Royal Caribbean kicked off a man in Australia after he allegedly beat up another man just four days into the sailing.

Royal Caribbean is bringing back a ship to Baltimore in the summer

There will be a cruise ship sailing from Baltimore in 2027, but only during the summer.

The new deployment revealed that Royal Caribbean will return to Baltimore as a homeport in 2027 after being absent in winter 2026.

The plan is to keep a ship there seasonally for the peak summer cruise season.

Man convicted of molesting boy on cruise ship

A 67-year-old Malaysian national was convicted this week on a child sexual abuse charge for something he did on a Royal Caribbean ship.

The incident occurred on Icon of the Seas and he was caught while onboard after molesting a young boy.

Two boys, age 7 and 9, were part of the heinous act.

Royal Caribbean sees strong demand for vacations, despite shift in consumer behavior

Consumers might be cutting back spending in some areas, but not for their vacations.

Royal Caribbean Group executives recently talked about how most people are unwilling to compromise on taking time off.

7 Kick streamers thrown off a Royal Caribbean ship after a brawl

A group of streamers were reportedly escorted off a Royal Caribbean ship this week after a fight and guest complaints forced the line's hand.

While on a 7-night Western Caribbean sailing on Harmony of the Seas, there was a fist fight among two members that got both sent to the brig and then left off the ship at the next port.

Then five others were removed at the next port when complaints escalated.

New Caribbean cruises for 2027-2028 added

The latest deployment was posted this week including 7-night and Short Caribbean year round sailings.

Sailing between May 2027 and April 2028, there are five ships included in this list.

These new sailings are available to book immediately.

A Royal Caribbean cruise ship visiting Santorini will offer a new exclusive beach day next year.

Plans for Royal Beach Club Santorini were revealed this week, and it will open in summer 2026.

Beach clubs are limited capacity excursions owned and operated by Royal Caribbean to offer a superior day of fun in the sun and it's only open to Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruise guests.

Family sues Royal Caribbean over woman that jumped off cruise ship

A year ago a woman jumped overboard from her Royal Caribbean ship and the family is now suing the cruise line alleging wrongful death.

The family blames the crew on Allure of the Seas for overserving the woman when she had an unlimited drink package.

The lawsuit claims she was served, “at least seven alcoholic beverages continuously within a span of approximately six hours and eight minutes." 

New Europe 2027 cruises added, including the return of one of the biggest cruise ships

All the summer European cruises for 2027 are available to book, including sailings on Legend of the Seas.

There are cruises that visit the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Norway, and the Greek Isles.  

Legend will head back to Europe in 2027, marking the first time an Icon Class ship will sail to Europe for the summer season.

An incredible photo was taken of a man breaking the rules and sitting in a dangerous spot while on his cruise.

While sailing on Star of the Seas, a man was seen sitting outside his infinite balcony stateroom.

The brazen act could have resulted in severe injury had he slipped.

Matt was invited to Royal Caribbean headquarters for a first look at the Royal Railway restaurant that is coming to Legend of the Seas.

The immersive train car experience is unlike any other specialty restaurant.

This is an all new theme that follows the journey of Marco Polo, and it includes food from five different countries.

Matt sailed for 7-nights on the original game changing ship and shared what's great about it, and what he missed from other ships.

Oasis remains a fabulous cruise ship choice, and also has a number of enhancements that still stand out.

Majesty of the Seas was sold off in 2020, and while it's still intact, it looks to be in general disrepair.

During the cruise industry shutdown, Royal Caribbean found a buyer for Majesty.  

But nothing has been done with the ship since.

Royal Caribbean clarifies drink card question cruisers have debated for years

It's official: that coffee card is more valuable now.

According to the cruise line website, you can re-use your coffee card on multiple sailings. Not only can you share it, but you can extend its value well beyond a single sailing.

This is significant because it used to only be limited to the cruise you bought it on.

Man breaks Guinness World Record on Royal Caribbean cruise

There's a new world record holder for running a marathon on a cruise ship.

The Guinness Book of World Records has confirmed Shane Wood ran a full marathon while on Ovation of the Seas.

Not only did he do it, but he finished it in under 3 hours.

I tried a whiskey tasting in the new Royal Railway train car

You can experience a classic train car experience along with high quality whiskey on one Royal Caribbean ship.

Matt got the chance to try out a whiskey tasting class that is held in the Royal Railway, which is an immersive train car restaurant.

Unlike the dinner option, this is a quicker way to see what this next-gen restaurant is really like.

Royal Caribbean changes kids club prices

Prices have gone up for Adventure Ocean and the nursery.

Royal Caribbean appears to have increased the price for after hours care at Adventure Ocean for when kids stay late past 10pm.

Likewise, the hourly charge for the nursery has gone up a few dollars.
