Solley
Are there activities for college age kids like 18-20?
coneyraven
Yes --- but it differs from ship to ship ...... what ship are you booked on?

coneyraven
Just now, Solley said: Symphony Oh my, they're going to have the best of the best --- it's the newest Royal Caribbean Ship and the largest Cruise Ship on the planet ...... that right there should put your mind at ease...... Perhaps someone who has been on Symphony can provide greater detail, but rest assured, they won't be bored if that's what you're worried about. melski94
Its a tough age and we are currently going through it as my DD was used to the teen club. It is a different type of cruise as my teen was used to meeting new friends through the teen club and at 18 she no longer has that option. The ship is full of stuff to do but not any organized activities. There were meet and greets on Harmony but they weren't attended and RC staff does not facilitate them. She ended up hanging out with us most of the time and once she got over the thought of that, she had a great time.

We have not been on a cruise since my son turned 18 and he always loved all the teen club activities! Guess he will be hanging with us too! averbeck
I would recommend clicking on the "Cruise Compass" link at the top of this page and look at one for Symphony. It'll have all of the planned events that went on. My assumption is that they'd do stuff like the rock wall, zip line, flow rider, water slides, laser tag (I think they have that on Symphony although I'd check) coneyraven
CruisinUngs
I’ve seen some meet up events on compasses for 18-21 groups I believe but others here will know better. I haven’t seen them on all compasses but a few.
The Cruise Junkie
I Do Belive There Is An 18+ Flowrider Session At Night
BobNoxious
dance parties, all adult activities except drinking (while on board). Casino is 18yo to play as well.
KathyC
I just sailed on Adventure in May with an 18 & 20 yr old. Neither missed being part of the teen club, and enjoyed spending time with and without us. Our kids actually like us and enjoy doing things with us, but found plenty of time do things alone. The 18 yr old liked watching movies by the pool by himself late at night. Neither of mine are hugely outgoing, but due to the time of year there were a few college kids around which seemed to congregate in Cafe Promenade at night as once the parties moved to the club they were not allowed in. They do scan your sea pass card to make sure you're 21. Before 11, there was live music in Schooner (where I parked each night) and they both enjoyed coming along. They would go to the comedy shows too. Neither of mine are huge on the athletic stuff, but if yours are they will most likely meet others their age in the basketball court.
