Filling water bottles

Recommended Posts

My fiancé and I are cruising on Allure of the Seas in June of 2018.  We are talking about drinking water aboard the ship and have two questions and would like some help.

First - how would we fill up a refillable water bottle on the ship?

Second - how does the water on the ship taste?

Thanks!

Welcome to the message boards!

First - I always take a refillable water bottle with me, along with a small amount of dish soap in a small shampoo size TSA friendly type container to wash it.  At a drink station I use one of the glasses from the drink station to fill my water bottle.  They don't want (for good reason) anyone filling their own water bottle directly from the drink station to prevent the spread of germs, so just one of their glasses, fill it then pour that into your bottle.

Second - the water tastes like... water.  I've never had a problem with it and I drink ship water on all of my cruises.  Allure has a very modern system, likely better than my home town.

I agree.  I've never encountered a problem with the water on the ships.  I usually take a refillable water container as mentioned before.   I tend to wake up at night thirsty and like to have some water handy.  I don't particularly care for drinking water out of the bathroom sink faucet but thats just personal preference.

You would have to grab glass(es) of water and take them to fill your bottle.  There's usually signs around not to use refillable water bottles directly at the water stations for health reasons.  That's not to say you can't use your refillable bottle, just not directly at the station.
