Recommendations for Transportion to Barcelona Cruise Port

Hi everyone!

For those that have sailed out of Barcelona, our group is looking for recommendations for transport from our hotel in Barcelona to the cruise port on embarkation day (May 11th).

Are the usual options available? Uber and taxi service? Any other preferred transport options? What do you recommend?

Of course, we'll have tons of luggage... we're so used to hotel shuttles!

We just took a cab last summer. I remember that we tried to use ride share a few times (both Uber and Free Now) and it never worked well. No one would pick up the ride. We just walked or took a cab everywhere.

Thanks! So, you think cabs can transport us and all of our bags? Probably 2 cabs for the 4 of us with all the luggage? Or can one handle us all? 

Sorry for the ignorance! We've always used hotel shuttles or just drove to the port (Bayonne).

Well, we had 4 and all fit in one cab. When we arrived at BCN, we had preordered Blacklane. I only did that because I was not familiar with BCN and did not feel like hunting for a cab at the airport after flying overnight. Once we dropped off all our luggage, it was cab or walk everywhere. On the morning of the cruise, we asked the hotel to call us a cab that was large enough to fit us and luggage. A minivan cab came for us and we all fit.

We also took a cab from hotel to Barcelona port last summer. Our hotel front desk ordered the cab for us. If you let the hotel desk your number of passengers and luggage situation, they should be able to determine what you’ll need (i.e. - 2 car cabs or one larger vehicle).

Cabs are very available in Barcelona. We used a car service on an app called Transfero. Very reliable airport to hotel and hotel to terminal.

No issue getting transportation.  Most hotels in Barcelona will schedule service for you.  You just notify front desk of time requesting and they will make the call.
