New Year

I know the new cruise casino year starts April 1. How does this work with cruises over that? I’m on a cruise March 30-April 5? I won’t hit prime (not my thoughts) but will I loose the points earned?

My understanding is that they will split the points. So anything earned after the 1st will be credited to the new year and I have heard on some occasions if it starts on the 31st, it is completely credited to the new year.

I think @Pattycruise had this situation last year and said that they split the points...with those earned in March going to the "old" year and those earned after April 1 going to the "new" year.

So now thinking of this as someone who just got their first casino comp cruises (that I knew to check for, might’ve had more before) should I wait until April 1 to gamble and do all my gambling over the 1-5 instead.

If you feel no need to gamble in March save it for April.

 If you think those machines will hit in March, play them!

That's what I do.  This year I was on Symphony from Mar 31 to Apr 6, 2024.  They had a sign at the casino host's desk stating that all points before April 1 would count towards 2023 and all points after would count towards 2024.  I resisted the urge and waited to April 1 to put my first dollar in the slots for that trip.  I have the same situation next year on Jewel sailing Mar 29 to Apr 7, 2025.  I will be chilling by the pool for the first few days waiting for April 1 to come around.
