I thought I would start a thread on cruise ship emissions.

I was just on Celebrity Edge and captain Costa had a talk. Part of the talk was how Royal Caribbean Group are trying to comply with the incoming legislations .

One thing he said which amazed me was Edge class is 17% more efficient than Solstice in fuel burn and emissions.

So, like hydrogen, ammonia has great potential, but we're many years from it being practical.

Unless you just put a bunch of thirsty cats on board ship, you'll get plenty of ammonia in no time.

I think the hull design contributes significantly to Edge class efficiency.   It’s proven itself to be a great platform.
