mworkman
Here's my question.... Price dropped on cruise $90.00, called TA...TA called RCI to get adjustment...TA tells me that RCI will reduce the price, however i will loose the $200 OBC. Does this sound correct? This is a 2019 booking.
Matt
Yes, because when you re-price, you are essentially cancelling and rebooking, which means you lose your booking incentives. So when you booked before, you had $200 OBC but under this deal, that $200 OBC is not offered. Thus, you're better off with what you have. mworkman
Okay...thanks
DocLC
As Matt says, this does happen. I rebooked to save $200, but lost the $200 OBC. However, I'd rather have the amount off the fare than $200 to spend onboard.
RestingBird
I have Oasis booked for 2019, so plenty of time to save up. In this case I'm doing the opposite of DocLC, taking the $300 OBC instead of price cuts that may save me $300 or $400 on the overall fare. greenline627
I just got a price drop on our GS on Adventure of the seas for a Aug 24 2018 cruise. Drop was 112.00 and lost 100.00 of the 200.00 on board credit we had so I guess I am still 12.00 to the good :).

KathyC
So here's a question; now with the non-refundable deposits it's not possible to have your TA re-book for lower prices? My deposit was $900; there is no way a price would drop more than that to cover that as savings. Hmmmm...
Hutcherl
My TA just repriced our booking under the non refundable deposit. It's my understanding that you can reprice your current sailing but you can't change to a different one.

That's right. You can change rooms, re-price, but cannot change ship or sail date.

That's great to know. I'm sure Jason P is keeping a close eye on our pricing for us!
