Sharps containers

Are there sharps containers in the public restrooms or would we need to bring or request one for our cabin? We would only need it for 1 or 2 items.

You can request one ahead of time, but your cabin steward will happily bring you one if needed.  I cannot remember if they are provided in public restrooms (I suspect yes, but I can't say I've paid close attention).

I take one or two injections a week. Most cruises I try to time it so I just don't need to take them with me on board the ship. On the occasions I need one I either ask my cabin attendant or ask them in person (if I remember) and it appears in short order.

I've seen them in public restrooms though I couldn't tell you how consistent they are across the fleet.

We forgot to request one in advance, we mentioned it to our cabin steward on arrival, it was in the room when we returned from dinner.
