Paul1963
Does anyone which cabin balconies get soot or don't get soot on them on voyager class ships looking at either deck 10 or deck 8 aft balconies
L454S
Spent 9 days in the starboard corner aft(7388) on Navigator a few months ago, no problems at all. BIL and SIL in cabin 7390 next door had no problems either.
jticarruthers
Think the soot issue is more hit and miss related to wind directions, engine usage, etc. than to a specific cabin. I have had aft cabins on Indy, Freedom, Adventure, Navigator, Liberty and never really had soot issues on any of them ... not saying there aren't ever soot issues just saying I don't think you can pick one aft cabin to avoid the issue. Agreed. It would not factor into my decision.
RBRSKI
Keep in mind that some of the ships have been modified with the "scrubber system" which cleans the exhaust before leaving the smoke stack. We were in 1700 on the Indy and had no issues like this!
