Married2Grumpy
Is there a big difference in motion deck 6 vs deck 8 midship Oasis class? We are booking an OV on deck 8 Allure based on comments here. I am prone to motion sickness. Would booking deck 6 midship make a big enough difference to give up my deck 8 cabin? I'm think on such a big ship that deck 6 and 8 would be similar with motion.
CrznTxn
We have been on both decks midship and have not noticed any difference in motion between the two. WAYNO and Married2Grumpy
OCSC Mike
I don't get sea sick and hardly even notice the ship moving more than a few times a week on average on Oasis class in the Caribbean/Bahamas. I highly doubt it will make a noticeable difference. Married2Grumpy and WAYNO
Traveling Mike
With there being 18 decks, you will not see much difference in deck 6 and deck 8. If you were talking about deck 6 and deck 18 you would see a bigger difference. I think most of your differences in movement will come from front to back. The front will have more up and down movement from waives. The back would be next with the middle being the pivot point and have the least. Now going on an Oasis class ship you should not have any sea sickness but if you do the Guest Services has sea sickness pills. loki007
not sure there is much difference between 6 and 15 on those massive ships. Hardly feel anything.
need2cruz
We've stayed on both and there is no difference in ship movement. My husband is prone to motion sickness and yes he has gotten sick on Oasis class. You sometimes do get a lot of movement when the waves are high. He takes one to two bonine a day to prevent motion sickness. That works great. My personal favorite floor to stay on is 7. It's 2 flights down to the promenade and one up to Central Park. Keep your deck 8 cabin, no need to switch. Married2Grumpy
