Flying in the day before our cruise in Oct and I am looking for dinner ideas in Boston. Staying in the waterfront area, but am willing to go anywhere for a great meal.

Open to all types and styles of cuisine.

Thanks

I think there is a Scottish place near there....MacDonald's:3_grin:

For the best scallops I have ever had I would recommend  the Union Oyster House at 41 Union St (about a block from Faneuil Hall), which claims to be the oldest in Massachusetts.  Lots of other eateries around Faneuil Hall as well.

If you like Italian, head to the North End, lots of choices, we like Giacomo's, but it can be a long wait. If you want pastries, try Mike's or across the street at Modern Pastry. Both are great, each has it's own loyal fans, as you will see from the lines out the door. Something more casual, Boston Burger Co. Head over to Quincy Market, near Faneuil Hall, Ned Devine's Pub is good. There is also a Dick's Last Resort, Legal Seafood and Cheers. If $$ in no object, check out McCormick and Schmick's.
