Tgk79
We are taking a cruise to Alaska on Ovation shortly( first time cruise). Have a question about their internet. I have heard that you don’t have to buy internet package for the whole trip, just buy 24 hr access whenever you need? Is that true? The internet package is very expensive, and when we are on land we don't need it. Are there any options?
Matt
Yes, a package is for the duration of the cruise. But there are 24 hour passes you can buy onboard
Psycho and Barb
And if you are doing the inside passage, you might be able to use land-based towers sometimes. Just be careful when switching off airplane mode and if you see cellar at sea...Go back to airplane mode ASAP. DDaley

The ships are nearly identical so I would assume the price would be as well.
Tgk79
Thank you! I think I will stick with a 24 hr option just for those days I need.
Traveling Mike
I did Alaska last year and there was no Internet north of Juneau Alaska. If the ship has switched to StarLink it might be better. We were in a port almost every day, so I just used my cell phone for internet.
